I’m really enjoying using the Tornado with a half filled bowl lately.

When I first got it I was filling the bowl and it utterly wrecked my tolerance, but the clouds and effects I get off a half bowl really aren’t that different to a full bowl.

It’s funny, I’ve not had too much VAS going on since getting this thing. There’s definitely room for something on the electric side to flare the VAS, but I find it difficult to envision a hot stick that would make me want to reach for it over the Tornado

Yep, it does ruin you for other vapes. It extracts very efficiently. Like you I couldn't handle full bowls. I now even micro dose with the Tornado, it becomes more efficient as the volume of flower decreases. I love the Anvil for how innovative it has been, but Tornado is a step up and I never looked back. (well I did, to my old Anvil OG stem ha ha)

Yeah this is where I’m at too, it’s so efficient with a smaller load size. This vape is just as capable of micro dosing and managing your tolerance as it is of macro dosing and shooting your tolerance to the moon.

The thing that continues to impress me most is how much better it tastes than the Anvil at high temps. I hope at least some of the people who stopped using the Anvil due to flavour come back to give this one a chance.

Haven't touched my anvil after getting this. Why would I fly coach when I could fly an f22?
Ok it's not that much a leap, but it still does everything better. Better taste, better vapour, better bowl, better heating times... I'm sure there's more. I would definitely recommend over the anvil.

I agree the full bowl is a handful!

However in the macro-dosing column, I have really enjoyed sharing a supercharged bowl (superbowl? 😆) with friends.

I drop a glob of rosin into my grinder, cover it in flower and pop it in the 'Nado filled to the brim with more flower. Stick the 'Nado on a nice pipe and pass it back and forth. The volume and thickness of the vapor is *ridiculous* with concentrates (not to mention the full bowl of flower) and it just keeps on coming. I only have the Wand as a heater and a friend and I can pass the pipe back and forth multiple times before the vapor stops and another heat cycle is required.

Tasty as hell too. 🤤😋

Does Anvil not have a very different signature? Or am I misremembering?

Tornado is more potent, but I kind of feel the Anvil had more of a stoney sig. That would be the reason to still use one I guess. I agree though that the Tornado is superior.
The Anvil signature definitely leans a touch more stony IMO. Which is odd because I feel that the Tornado leans a little more toward conduction than the Anvil.

I remember someone on here brilliantly described the Vapman signature as “bright conduction” and I feel like the Tornado has a similar quality to its signature.

Oh man that sounds awesome! I can imagine what a nice relaxed session that must’ve been. Until the effects hit anyway  The Tornado handles concentrates like a champ doesn’t it?

I’ve done something kind of similar but much cheaper and dirtier - when it comes time to clean I’ll first gather up all the reclaim and fill a bowl with herb and all the reclaim instead of pissing it away into ISO. My little pre clean treat.

The vapour production seems like it just goes on and on. I won’t let it cool down and will instead give the oven a few seconds of extra heat periodically until it finally stops producing. I think the last time I did it was well over 5 minutes of puffing some big clouds.. crazy

I hear you 😂 that sounds awesome! We just waited until the vapor thinned before re-heating but your workflow sounds even better 🤣.

Anyone know how frequent the batches on the Tornado have been? I know the most recent pre-order shipped in March, does someone recall when the previous one was?

Asking because I reached out to Vestratto regarding restock and all they really could share at the moment was they could let me preorder now if I wanted and preorders would ship in order. But didn’t have details on how long that might be?

I don’t mind waiting 2-3 months, not sure if I wanted to wait a year though with other stuff coming out.

If you’re willing to wait that long you’ll easily get one. It’s just turned April and I think there’s already been around 4-5 drops this year.

Get on that preorder with them if you’re definitely sure you want one. I imagine they’re offering the same pre order to others enquiring so the longer you hesitate the further down the line you’ll be.

You'll wait a Month at most imo.

Thank you, I’ve not been keeping up so I wasn’t sure and every company is different. I’ll definitely get in now.

Anyone see this cheap DIY stem adapter on Reddit?
https://www.reddit.com/r/vaporents/s/zbkPK2PgmM

I went ahead and ordered the adapter from Vgoodiez. I don’t have the same exact o-rings that the OP used, but got some Dynavap condenser o-rings to try. All it’s going to come down to is getting big enough o-rings on the Tornado side of the adapter to get a snug fit. Should be pretty easy with some trial and error. Hoping the o-rings I have on the way will work from the start though.

Yeah, I'm noticing the same. Slowly got used to loading it up all the way, but realizing that half bowls still get me baked. Also a bit easier to kill in one inhale.

Tornado + Forge is pretty much all I need right now. No VAS here.

What’s everyone’s favorite heating method? I’m currently just using the wand. But I’m considering stepping that up to the camouflet inductor or maybe a premium torch.

I’m heating the tornado as well as the tempest.

I find torch hits superior. The wand burns off so much of the herb before you draw on the device. You can experiment yourself by removing the bowl immediately as soon as it's ready. I thought to do the experiment because I was perceiving a massive difference in potency between wand and torch.

If I had an Inductor I would be using that though for sure, as it has the power and the targeted accuracy.
