Tornado by Vestratto

I am looking for an adapter and a stem for my setup. The shop should be based in the EU to avoid high shipping costs and customs fees.

Do you have any recommendations?
I highly recommend looking at @Aezhenn's work as he does some impressive wooden and glass stems. I like my setup because the draft is not tight and the vapor is well cooled. Adapter Tornado/stem comes from @ScruffyWoofers

the tripod stand is a new product I've made, it's practical because it serves as a stand and also as a decapper:):D

General Disaster

I don't know if the secondary atomiser is functioning as advertised. I have doubts also. However it seems beyond doubt that something in this design is creating smooth vapour. In lieu of other explanations, a functioning atomiser is the best we have.

I think increased potency is a difficult one to gauge, because of the very large bowl. Also because the Anvil is very potent itself. There is always a honeymoon effect with new vapes where they get us more wrecked than usual. Increased potency could be explained by the larger bowl, and better extraction.
My best guess on what may be happening with this, is not gasification or atomisation or whatever.

I think what happens in most vaporisers is the heat put into the ground flower in the bowl causes the volatile compounds to reach their boiling point and change phase from a liquid to a gas. That gas (or mixture of gases to be more precise) is drawn away from the bowl and toward the mouth and almost immediately starts to cool down to some degree or other and in so doing the individual gas molecules start to aggregate into microscopic droplets, a fine condensate in the air (and depositing a small amount on the walls of the vapour path too) and as the cooling continues as the vapour travels, the individual droplets that make up the vapour grow in size and if this continued they would eventually start to drop out of the air (as rain does from water vapour in clouds) although this wouldn't be happening to much of a degree I'd guess before it enters the mouth.

So by heating the vapour path after the bowl rather than just leading up to the bowl/screen, and also narrowing the vapour path to create a higher pressure, I think whatever the physics going on the result is the droplets are remaining smaller for longer, enough to make a significant difference to the nature of the vapour, and by the law of volume vs. surface area I would expect it to be more bio-available.

I've no academic science education beyond reading "Janet and John Have Fun With Nuclear Fission", "Heisenberg For Dummies" and "Understand String Theory in Three 20 Minute Lessons" so if there are any physicists (or even ordinary people! 😉) who know something more about this area of science I'd love to know if this could be correct, or better still, what may actually be going on?

To be honest it's way too expensive for what it is, and very bulky.
The forge is technically portable, and heats without hands.
I disagree. I don't own one but it doesn't seem very bulky and it's meant to be a desktop IH, with the tray and magnets, so it's hard to knock it for portability. I don't think it would be difficult to bring to a friend's house. I don't see too many people wanting to use the Forge out in public given its size, to be fair.

It seems to be hands-down the most powerful out there based on the figures I've seen for heating a wide array of TEDs. Which reminds me of another positive, you don't have to stick your device in a coil and hope that it's detected or worry about insertion depths. You can direct the induction by touching the area you want heated.

I read some testimonies from users in this thread that it heats the Tornado in around 3sec. That's significantly faster than the Forge and any torches too as far as I know. Also read some things about how applying pinpoint inductive heat to the 2nd stage atomizer changes the signature for the better. Most agree that the Tornado seems to respond well to aggressive heating and the Inductor looks like the best option for that.

Hey there my tornado has unfortunately become stuck with the oven not wanting to remove from the body.

I don't know if it was because the threads got gunky or if it thermally locked does anybody have a pro tips for resolving this sort

Let it cool for now, try to loosen again later.
or you can use allen key size on top of the cap

I could take my Forge anywhere I wanted and easily.
In a few months I'm going to go on vacation to Thailand, and I could put my forge in my suitcase lol.
And enjoy my tornado like I do every day at home 😏
Could I do the same thing with this very bulky inductor?
The answer is no unfortunately.

The forge is more suited to my tornado than the inductor!
It was designed specifically for the Tornado.
And I prefer the more comfortable use of the Forge.
The inductor will be interesting when it becomes portable.
Of course I'm not saying that the inductor is bad lol, it's the closest thing to a torch in use.. but electrically.

Both are monsters and will do the same job.

Try to put it in the freezer for 10-15 min and then try to break it free with a bit of elbow grease.

So....what do I have to purchase in order to use my Tornado natively...or with a stem?is there a specific adapter?

I think we agree they're both powerful. If portability is a big desire then a desktop IH isn't the best answer for you. If you're traveling by air though I don't think they like people packing lithium batteries greater than a certain size.

I think I see an Inductor in my future because I don't mind having the Wand for on-the-go and the Inductor strikes me as an endgame home IH.

The forge is also an endgame inducer 🤷
I live in a fairly spacious house, and it's nice to be able to use my tornado in several rooms of my living space without it taking up space, and not to be confined to the same place as would be the case with the inductor.
The inductor obliges you in some way used the tornado or other Ted on a vaping station.
It's nice to enjoy all the power of your tornado in your garden while drinking a good glass of white wine.

I don't want to play the game of who's better.
Simply my choice went to the forge for my needs... and its comfort of use.

I'm happy you like the Forge and it sounds like the portability meets your needs. I wasn't trying to prove the Inductor is better, I just didn't think characterizing it as "too expensive for what it is and very bulky" was accurate.

I haven't changed my mind, I still think it's too expensive having tried it at a friend's house.
And very bulky yes.
The Forge also should be cheaper IMHO.
But I had no choice to exploit the full potential of my nado.
I also have to say that my nado really makes my pids collect dust.
So the inductor will be like going back to desktop configuration mode.

If you like to vape in the same place, and you want an inductor that can heat everything efficiently, as long as it is compatible with induction heating, then yes choose the camouflet inductor.

I hear you. I'm in bed a lot and have limited hand strength so for me the Inductor is ideal. It sits next to my bed, the cable is comfortably long and the induction head is light and easy to use. I love the little lift out tray and I have that to hand to carry the Tornado and "stuff". I also like the "finessing", but it was a learning curve to figure out the effects of the different voltages and placement of the ferro core.

If I'm travelling, I take the wand, or even my kitchen torch. I always travel very light, so for me the size makes the Forge cumbersome. The weight of the batteries alone. (I travel by public transport, or walk)

what I truly want...is the anvil stem setup with an adapter and the tornado head....seems like Vestratto would have these available...you know we are gonna buy them....we obviously all have a vape acquisition problem.....geeez. how do I get an anvil stem step without buying a full anvil?

They sell the integrated stem (sanding required to fit tornado), heatshield and mouthpiece seperately so you can put one together without buying an anvil.. i think it would run 95$ USD with xl mouthpiece.

Yeah for this type of travel by public transport, the wand is still unbeatable!
And even better a lighter.
That's why I kept my wand.
But the forge is great, going back is not possible 😁
