I want to buy a new vape but just can't figure out which one so I'm hoping that the guys with more experience than me can guide me.
I smoke pure joints or pure hash in a pipe, around 100g/month.
My first vape was a Xmaxx Starry 3.0 that I bought to see if sucking on a device instead of a joint was something for me.
Only the flavour isn't that great and its a b*tch to clean.
A few months ago I bought a Dynavap M which doesn't taste bad but you pretty much have to clean it every time you use it so for someone that smokes from the moment he wakes up until he goes to sleep it's kinda useless.
What I'm looking for in a vape... I don't care how big or small it is, how it looks, if it's portable or desktop, I just want to taste my weed and not spend my time cleaning or filling a device.
Which is why I narrowed it down to the Tinymight and Minivap, if there are better options please do tell.
I apologise in advance for the bad grammar but English is my 3rd language.

very hard question imho..
the TM has 18 holes for airflow, powerful vape, feels like a desktop device, great taste
the clouds of MV are huge and people say the taste is great (glass teflon core)
and it also can be as desktop without battery..
it's hard to say

For as much as you consume I would skip both of those and look at the various ball-based desktops (b0, pinky, taroma, or whatever fits your price range). Tinymight is a very nice portable, but I think these might be a better match for larger hits throughout the day. Cleaning for any of them is just soaking your glass in iso.

Had the same problem last year, got lucky picked up a TM, and been very happy with it, I think it was a perfect intro device for me, still considering one of the logs, maybe CL, or Zenith, or GTR, MV, or a TM2, on the Nomad list, or...

What's a UD SC3+ ?

@gordontreeman I don't want larger hits I want something you can use as if you smoke a cigar. You take a couple of puffs, you put it down and so on.

@BleuEyedGuy That's one vote for the Tinymight ;)

By the way if I end up going for the TM I'll obviously get the TM2.

If you want flavour, and a big hit at a reasonable price, look at an elev8r with a big torch. You'll get very powerful hits and can load a lot if you like. The TM will be great if you need to be more portable and discrete, it will hit hard, but not as hard as a good desktop.

The TinyMight will get you flavor, easy cleaning, and any kind of hit your heart desires. I know you said you don't care about size of hits or size of device, but I think it still matters that the TM is small and portable and can deliver hits that I have to consciously tell myself to back off at the end of the hit because I literally cannot fit anything more in my lungs. And it's ridiculously versatile and you can go nuts modding it too.

I couldn't live with just one vape, and to be perfectly honest the one vape I couldn't live without is my Firewood, but that's purely because of ergonomics and sentimentality. But in my personal opinion nothing comes close to what the TM can offer as an "entire package" in just one vape. The Starry won't even feel like a vape if you tried a TM, it would merely be a stem you sucked on while something came out of it. And whatever you do, do not go on Reddit looking for advice, they're fucking morons over there. Do yourself a favor and get a TM - the hype is real, and it's always been real.

you saw him mentioning he only wants to vape hash?
not sure the TM is the best bet. vapman has a good reuptation for hash. ball vape will probably kill it too. i vote for a taroma lite or b0 or pinky for lower budgets.

For best flavor and minimal cleaning , the MiniVAP is hard to beat .
It’s been my #1 vape for years.
Best battery life in the vape world and also a desktop lightweight unit with the AC puck.

Get the @Delta3DStudios silicone adapter for easy use with a long glass mouthpiece or a hydratube or inverted onto a water piece.

Very clean vape

I can't think of many situations in which I would prefer my MV over TM, except for when I have company. I found MV at low temps not really elevating, TM gives big hits at lower temps. Also with the amounts you consume TM is more convenient as fast extractor. OTOH if you're okay running it at the higher (still flavorful) temps MV can give very satisfactory sessions if that's what you're after. TM also does that really well though lol. So yea I would recommend (maybe 2nd hand) TM and Vapman for hash.

Edit to add I use MV with the lid WPA and there's this tiny piece of silicone involved and I can kind of taste it. Also the glass tube in the lid WPA (which imo is must have) is very narrow which causes faster build up)

Just so it’s clear, a vape is never going to be a joint. You can pack a larger bowl in any device—portable or desktop—to achieve this by taking a few hits and then coming back to the bowl later. Drawbacks are that flavor will suffer as many of the terpenes that give flower it’s flavor transition to a gas at lower temps than many of the other compounds, so you’ll have cooked them off. Larger bowls like this also often require stirring.

Many people avoid those drawbacks by just packing a bowl they can finish in one hit and then packing another when they come back to it. Any on demand convection vape can support either of these use cases. You just get a lot more power with the desktop if you want to take a larger hit/finish a larger bowl in a single go.

I have both, while I understand people say the MV is great, I am having a learning curve with it and it is currently sitting in the basement neglected. Before I got my TM2 my OG TM always won out, for me its easy of use and performance made me say after experimenting with the MV, I am probably going to sell the MV, but I do want to give it some more time. Then the TM2 arrived and the MV is even more neglected. But, I do love flavor, so once the honeymoon with the TM2 is over, I will do some more MV testing.

I was on the fence with the MV vs the TM last year, went with the TM, wasn't sure about my situation and wanted the option of a small, portable that was easily pocketable and the TM has delivered in spades! Now I'm on the fence between MV, TB, or one of the newer logs, for something at home, would love a ball injector but that isn't an option, leaning towards the GTR, gotta love VAS, cheers!

That sucks... you seem to have the same curse/blessing that you taste and smell things more than most people.

@gordontreeman I know a vape is never going to be a joint, I just want a vape that suits how I smoke.
That's why I don't want to that one hit and recharge stuff because then I'll spend my day refilling it lol
My goal isn't to get as high as fast as possible but to enjoy my weed I actually love how it tastes.

Yeah, I enjoy the flavor too! And I’m usually not trying to get super slammed myself. I’m a lightweight relative to most around here, I think. Something that you casually sip is sort of at odds with the goal of good flavor as the terps will be gone, at least ime. So for me I’d rather just kill a small—0.05g or so, half a dynavap tip—bowl in one hit while it’s green and tasty.

It seems you are doing your due diligence though. I actually also thought @invertedisdead volcano suggestion was sort of spot on, too. The bags aren’t my favorite, but if I’m chilling someplace it’s actually not bad. It really is as close to a joint as vaping gets, too.

There's always the Volcano Hybrid... but if I remember correctly flavour wise it isn't the best.
For a while I was looking at the Plenty too.
It's annoying that I don't have the possibility of testing some of them.
