I'd say somewhere around 7-10 hits. I really don't pay attention to the number of pulls per bowl, I just toss the ABV once it tastes spent. I use fresh batteries when loading a new bowl.exmilker said:was wondering how many pulls are you guys averaging per bowl and when do u guys swap out the battery?
A) when it seems to take a little longer for the coil to heat up?
B) wait till its fully dead and wont even switch on?

sessnet said:1 Battery load = a bowl load, once you learn to use it right. The bowl isn't that large

Thermovape guys has not replied to my three last e-mails.
After i tried everything they said and it still wont work, they now dont answer anymore.
A bit disapointed at this moment!
Soulhunter said:So this piece of garbage suddenly decided not to work any more. Had a session with two friends yesterday, and today it doesent work anymore.
I am not very impressed with this company, first they forget to send out my order, and when they do a vital part of the unit is missing.
And now the heater core stops working after just a couple of uses. I dont feel very safe with only three months varanty.
And not to forget theplastic taste i get (witch once again it seems i am the only one smelling it)
Boiled the unit so it was nice and clean for yesterdays session, but that did not eliminate the taste.
Both my friends also complained about the nasty taste when unit is hot!
Edit: Customer service is super though, so no complaints there.

I just wondered because I notice after reading through this thread the OEM batteries tend to be a qualm among the reviews. Although the MFLB had the same said about it, so it may be a personal preference.RaK427 said:I don't think you can use different volt batteries without damaging it. I am wondering about aftermarket battery replacements that might be of a higher quality though.

So, how many emails were replied to? Did you exhaust all their suggestions? What was the last step discussed (another test or returning the unit)? They are awfully busy, it took almost a week for me to get a reply from them a week or so back.
Finally, what is the issue? Is your unit defective (I guess a couple of several thousand have been?) or is it a use issue? The huge majority of guys seem to have few if any problems to sort out and rapidly 'fall in love with their T1'. What are the details?

Yes, tried everything they said. Nothing helped. Last he told me to do was to take off the o-ring and se if i could get it further in, the heater that is
The main issue is that it stopped working suddenly. exactly 14 bowls and then kaputt.
And i had a issue with nasty taste when the unit was very hot. But i am guessing the nasty taste has something to do with why it sudenly stopped working? I dont know.
Last mail i sent them i asked if i should send them the faulty heater.
What do you mean by 'higher quality'? Have you had defective units fail on you?
