I'm still going back and forth between my T1 and Evo. And I must say, the Evo is great when I can get it to hit like I want, but it can be a frustrating process while I'm trying to pin it down. Sometimes the bottom of the load gets blackened, and near the mouthpiece is a lighter brown with specks of green. I've been experimenting with load size, grind size, hitting techniques, etc.
I usually take my herb ground to a medium grind and load it loosely to the top. I've been using the "3 Step technique" so eloquently described by OF numerous times as a guideline. My first couple hits are always big, no complaints there.
I guess my question is any ideas what I can do differently to finish the bowl evenly without starting to scorch the bottom? Once I get over this little hump it'll be even harder to choose which one is my favorite
