Update, the GC stem is awesome, but not for back to back bowls I think. I think wood would be the ticket for the TA, though I have never used one myself

Hi all,

Wondering how people are heating their TAs, particularly when using a wand.

Currently I've got Boro balls in mine and am setting the wand to 720f. Have tried with the tempest adaptor but not getting good results, instead I'm finding inserting it through the other side and balancing it on the lip works better.

Interested in trying rubies to see if they retain heat better. I'm mostly using it outside on an Aezhennwood stem

I've been using my TA 4 for months and it's the best portable out IMHO.:tup: It handle MTL as well as bong hits with flavor easily better then all the others out right now.:2c:
Requested my lost post to be deleted, I worded that very poorly. Pretty dissapointed in myself for writing that out before reaching out for help.

Any tips on how to get it working well with a torch? I don't have the flare at the moment. And do you recomend keeping the airflow wide open?

Hey guys I'm looking at buying one of these thermal devices. I have vas and own many other butane devices, do any of these different versions offer a unique taste or place in my collection, work with the wand, and work with the reload from mad heaters? Thanks so much.

Very clean taste and extremely smoothe vapour, only vape I own that taste nicer is the vapman. It has a unique vape signature aswell, 1 full bowl with the TA4 gets me a lot more stoned that other vapes with similar load capacity

is the TA4 magnetic and work with the reload? My bad if you don't have a reload, but I haven't found anywhere that says its magnetic.

It's magnetic, but doesn't work well with reload. It tends to loosen the screw and will keep going until the airflow disk comes off (the magnetic component.) It's best to get the TA heat sink from vgoodiez. If you really want to use the reload you must keep the TA very loose.

I have a TA3 and a TA4. To be honest I prefer both over the stunner. More control over the heating and better stem options.

One small query. The screw holding the airflow disk on the 4 is pretty lose. Is it meant to be like that? My guess is it's by design.

This tiny gripe makes me prefer the 3 over the 4.

Mines tight, the airflow screw on the TA4, no different to my TA3 honestly.

My ta3 airflow disk unscrews when I decap with the magsink. I've tightened the screw multiple times, but it keeps happening. I've been just taking the cap off with a leather sleeve tbh.

This happens to me too. I still use the magsink to cool it down, but I don't take the cap off with it anymore.

Same, magsink and reload both loosen the screw, or the flip side and don't unscrew the cap, especially the magsink the magnet is so weak, leather debowler is much more reliable. Although I have found that using a decent screwdriver rather than the one provided by PP gets it tight enough to stay put

I think alot of people are making the connection too tight. I have no problem taking the cap off with the TA magsink.
The problem described above is not that the cap doesn't remove. It's that the airflow adjusting screw is loosened when removing the cap with the magsink.

I have no trouble removing the cap, but going this eventually adjusts the airflow.
