Yup, with all the pics and videos out there, I decided that I don't want to wait any longer and will get this sent to me ahead of the release of the Helios.
I contacted Ville and he agreed that it wouldn't make sense to wait for the Helios since shipping isn't really that much and also because there is no firm date for a Helios release.......but it sure sounds like he has a lot of irons in the fire.
If I like the Helios as much as I suspect, I will be getting it anyway......and maybe a slight delay will do me some good and perhaps give me something to look forward to for next Christmas.
I still have a few accessories to add to my current order, which I will get resolved this weekend, but I was the 4th unit sold of the second pre-order - so even with a week's shipping delay there is a good possibility that I get my Apollo before my birthday in the first week of April.
Whoooo......hooooo!
I was the FC'er that had originally asked Ville if a cherry stained version might be available. The responsiveness of Ville to customer feedback is absolutely amazing!
My response to this inquiry came by way of Ville posting a freshly stained cherry colored Apollo on FC and then sending me an email saying that he had picked up a bottle of cherry stain to try and that it wouldn't be a problem if I wanted one in cherry........and I even got to see what it would look like through the pics he posted on FC at the same time.
Unbelievable !!!
However, after looking through the Venus website and seeing all the available glass globe color options for the Venus ......I realized that aside from the functionality of the vaporizer itself, that Ville has also made it a priority to provide options to his customers on the aesthetic side as well
But after seeing more pics of the dark oak, it is kind of ironic that I am finding myself in agreement with Ville that this stain is also my favourite.
Then I see the natural oak and think, "Wow, that is really fine looking too!",
and I see yet another photo of a cherry stained Apollo and I find myself reminded why I suggested that shade in the first place
There really is no wrong choice with any of the aesthetic color options available for the Apollo
They are all functional, beautiful works of art and craftsmanship that might very well set the gold standard for a portable session vape that with a higher powered bulb (2nd gen 35W bulb) would also border on the "on-demand" territory of portable vaporizers.
Happy Birthday to me
