I'm not to sure what you mean, whats a ccd? I know where the 2 slots are that you're talking about and I get you're saying the disc fits on to it but my brain don't get why or what it would do
So it's for setting the bowl screen/ccd there are three positions, small bowl, medium bowl and large bowl - 0.1g, 0.15g, or 0.2g, if you want the large 0.2g bowl you just push it right down, but to set the bowl screen/CCD on the smaller bowls, the 0.1g and 0.15g, you fit the disc to the one of the notches, then use the stem part to push the screen down and it'll click into the right bit.
So to set the screen at the 0.1g bowl, I assume you fit the disc on the lower notch (closest to the thread) and the 0.15g bowl, the notch furthest from the threads.

That sounds like a great way to do it, I'm still gonna need some sort of video though as the last bit just isn't computing right now
It's great! did you notice any differences with your previous wand? is the upper hole the same diameter? sensor and the firmware?
Good question but it's the same version and it's the same diameter. Not sure how to compare sensors? Only difference is visually my new wands glass is ever so slightly wonky but that's neither here nor there

I'm not the best at explaining things to be fair.
Videos do make things a lot easier, I don't have one though, they were only sent out with some orders.

The black disc when fitted to the condenser will stop the screen from being pushed too far, similar idea to the screen setting tool on the inside of the reload containers.

Finally clicked, thanks for that. Gonna test out the smallest setting now

With all the Wand talk, seems like a good time to ask. If you were to choose between the Wand and the Forge for the Tempest, which one would you choose?

I have a Wand, and while carelessly trying to push out the Tempest adapter, I cracked the Wand glass. I know it isn't necessary for functionality, but it is necessary to hold the Tempest adapter. As a result, I may be shopping for a new IH soon. I'd rather not drop the $350 (plus battery/charger cost) for the Forge, but I'm not completely against it if there's a compelling reason. Fwiw, I use my Tempest in the Wand for about 90% of its use and I'm focusing solely on the Tempest use case of the IH for this question.

Anyone with both IHs want to offer advice?

What about BFGs Flare?

Flare is kinda trash and doesn't work with much. Didn't work with tempest 1 well at all.
Forge is great over wand but it's 4x the cost.
Can't speak for tempest 2 as I haven't gotten mine yet ):
Damn. That's good to know. I've got one that I use for a set of fusions but haven't tried it for anything else. The fusions heat perfectly in it, what makes other teds respond differently?

If only one, then Wand because of its portability. So easy and discreet on the go. Relatively cheap also.
Forge isn't that stealthy and easy to carry, but performance wise, it's a beast with big battery on top. I like it for use at home, camping, and as a backup if other IH's fail...

Oh, man. I posted this to the wrong thread. I'm mobile right now, so I goofed up.

That said, thank you for the advice. Seems pretty cut and dry.
No worries, we've all been there.

I mean, that's only my opinion. I've heard from multiple people that the Forge for the Tempest isn't really better than the Wand or worth justifying the purchase of a huge, unwieldy, expensive IH that needs power tool batteries.
It kind of defeats the portable aspect of our pocket-able DHVs, in my humble opinion.
I love that the Wand is so compact, and it delivers what I need every time.

If its just for the fun of it, sure why not? :science:

PS: posted this at first in the wrong thread as well. Last Tempest bowl was a bit racy :D

I'm thinking of getting another wand to have one with v1 adaptor and one with v2 adaptor.

Or should I just get spare molicels p28?

Hadn't even crossed my mind.

Good to know about the Flare. I'd prefer to not spend the money on the Forge. I'm trying to find a reason why the Wand doesn't make sense (I want it to make sense, I just want to see if the Forge has that big of an advantage for the Tempest), but I can't find one yet. I'd rather buy the Wand considering the cost. Specifically, I'd rather fix my Wand, but I can't find anything out there on how to do it. I've reached out to Ispire/Ispure for a solution and I'm getting nothing back from them. Can't find a replacement part either. I guess my best solution is to get a new Wand and keep the one with broken glass as a backup.
If its just for the fun of it, sure why not? :science:
"Just for the fun of it." That's basically VAS in a nutshell! Don't enable me!

Mad Heaters email update for US Customers. Get ready boys!

Update on US Shipments
We’re pleased to share that our initial test parcels to the US have cleared customs without any issues or additional fees. We will begin shipping US orders on Tuesday, May 20, once additional stock arrives, and all orders should be on their way before the end of May.
If customs fees are required upon delivery, you can choose to pay them to receive your parcel or refuse delivery. If refused, the parcel will be returned to us, and we can either resend it once any potential tariffs are lifted—likely in the coming weeks or months—or issue a refund.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

That’s great news!

Does anyone know exactly how it works with paying fees upon delivery? Like the actual delivery guy will be taking the payment? Or do you pay the courier company when it’s at your local branch and then they deliver as usual?

Shake the balls away from the middle, it can be in the way of the screwdriver head and turn it 45 degrees. Don’t put too many balls in there as it can make it hard to unlock it.

Desserrez la vis au bas du capuchon, ajustez l’air et revissez-la pour la verrouiller.
And this kids… is how I met brenyo 😘

Not my video, but found this on YouTube. Can’t wait to get mine!

People really like closing the airport huh? I only close mine when the bowl starts cooling down and vapor productions significantly diminishes
My clouds are much more puffy than this smoke-like thick vapor... I couldnt really pull of (effectively at least without reheats) that joint style puffing when i tried so i gave up... This makes me wanna try it all over again as I did with the V1 :D
