I usually don’t offer big discounts, especially right away, as it’s unfair to my wholesale partners. In my opinion, most future buyers of the V2 already own a V1, so I’d have to increase the base price to others to justify a significant discount. I’ve also had many issues with discounts applied to too many customers as often they forget to use them at checkout, resulting in extra work and additional costs for the refund process. This is still a 1 man business, and it creates unnecessary chaos during pre-orders.
A trade-in program would be ten times more complicated, so I’m definitely not doing that.

In my opinion, it’s much easier to sell locally, you’d likely get more for it that way anyway.
With the price of the release model, it will feel like you’re getting it at a good discount anyway, in my opinion.
