I got my tempest tip earlier today, currently using it with Joe King's Assassin stem and turbo system using it with the wand, i will probably avoid using torches i dont wanna mess up the finish, so far I love it great flavor, easy to use back to back, great heat retention, hopefully @VGOODIEZ gets revolve stems again i would love to own a complete unit, overall the only thing that needs to be improved is the clicking disks and the time it takes to reset but i don't find this feature that important for my personal usage, i enjoy watching the visual indicator climb, makes its so much easier to use in noisy places.

I've used my tempest head on a simrell blackwood vortex grab bag. This stem provides more airflow than the tempest stem. The vapor is definitely hotter on the simrell which is the trade off. The 1 thing I don't like is the built-in condenser on the vortex. It's hard to clean between the outside of the condenser and the steel liner. I use my ta3 on a simrell grab bag wpa with a brass stinger mp and that's my 2nd favorite 3rd party set up. Tempest stem has still been passing the reach test for me.
I got a Vortex all in one stem thinking I could use it on my TA...It works, but becomes too hot to hold by the end of one session. Easiest way I found to clean is to use a pipe cleaner soaked in warm iso.

I got a tempest and was wondering what is the best balls/airflow setup for milky bong rips? My dynavap feels it up but I think it's due to restrictive air flow but I just checked my avb with light, I must need to insert my adapter a little lower in the wand. Still curious to what setups others like for bubbler and native use.

I use 2.5 Zirc balls, fully opened airflow on the tip, i dont own a revolve 2 yet so i cant speak about that part. i use it with the wand on flower mode with 4 flames, do a cycle until the visual indicator is just below the third line and rip it hard. ime if you dont inhale hard enough you will probably combust so its best to start testing it out at 2.5 indicator lines. i ignore the clicks completely they're pretty much useless for me. this part really needs to be refined, some times i haven't vaped like in 30 mins the whole unit is cold af and then just then the temp disc clicks to let me know its cold. that is currently my only issue with the tempest, and i would like an XL version that can handle like half a gram or something XD.

Nice, I'm debating on trying SS balls. Do they sell them on amazon? The only thing I saw was ball bearings 2.5mm?

This thing is just an amazing device...I am in complete shock on how smooth that vapor was compared to anything else I've used...I went completely closed air flow because I am used to pulling on my ball vape fast but my dynavap forces you to pull slow, so I went with fully closed.

I received 2 valves from tempest? One with no holes and another with them. Is there any difference between switching my tempest to closed versus swapping out to the with holes(the thing in the mouthpiece)?

Vgoodiez sells all the ball types, i personally havent messed with any other than 2.5 zirc so far, i will try Sic and Ruby down the line but for now im quite happy with the Zirc balls, great taste and 1 hit extraction.

No idea about the valves but you could watch TableTop Bong's review on youtube he does a deep dive on the device.

zirc seem good to me! Jeez this thing ripped. I wasn't heating it up enough at all. Wow just such cool and smooth vapor, flavor...never seen a device that has everything.

I sent an email on christmas eve about the ebony factory 2nd and he replied but was out of stock by then(random drop?)so I grabbed a head and said dang, he replied back saying would I like this blue full tempest and was shocked!

Huge ups to the mad heaters team!

Hey guys, been loving this device. It's tied with 2 other vapes as my favorite atm. The cleaning has also become easier to deal with after doing it a few times.

I still have yet to clean my balls though (in regards to the device). Are there any noob-friendly or idiot-proof video guides on opening up the head to remove them for cleaning and then reassembling the head? The main thing I know is you are supposed to torch them until they are white again. I appreciate the user who made videos on cleaning btw, they were very helpful!

Yes, look it up on the website. Reassembly can be a bitch though

Take a look at this manual to understand the different airflow settings and how the valves differ

thank you. what makes it hard to Reassemble?
The screen that holds the balls in can be frustrating to get aligned properly so that it’ll sit flat. Used to screw in easily on mine, but my last few replacements have taken like 10 attempts to get it aligned properly.

Haven’t tried taking apart the indicator housing yet, but I hear that is similarly frustrating and also pretty delicate. Supposedly never really will need cleaning, but mine definitely has some gunk trapped in the discs that I should probably deal with soon.

Wolkenkraft mouthpiece screens/strainers fit perfectly I have heard. They are made from solid metal so alignment should be no problem. Heard this in some german reddit thread

For what it's worth, I found similar issues getting the screen to engage with the thread (and yes, I was flattening it as recommended on MH site).
In the end it turned out that I either had too many balls in there, or they weren't settled enough that there was enough thread to engage with. Removing a few balls at a time until it worked sorted this out. Also, turning the wrong direction (unscrewing it) for a turn or so until it 'click's in place in the thread and only then screwing down in the correct direction, made it easier too.
Careful to make sure it does engage properly as if not secure it could come loose at the worse possible time (as other users groins have experienced!).

Guys I need to know what the go to recommendation is by this thread for heating the tempest. Is it still the ispire wand or whatever? Is there a product on Etsy as far as a case? I want to say the skullcandy one that should get with it?

If you guys can reply with links to what I need I’d appreciate. Trying to avoid using torch unless the wand isn’t the best option any more.

Yeah, tried all of that but after like 3 months or so the usual trick of turning backwards until it engages doesn’t seem to work as well. I assume my screen just needs to be flattened better or I need to clean the threads.

If ball height is ok, then I can't think what other than screen or threads could be the problem then (maybe meanwhile grab one or two spare screens?). Good luck with it anyway.

I use the ispire/ispure wand, seems to be the most popular and best all rounder option available, but is somewhat slow. I carry mine in this case I picked up a while back.

I think the Vestratto Forge is probably the best in terms of speed, but it’s massive, expensive and the initial run had a hardware issue that I think has been ironed out? Not aware of any other compatible IH at the moment, the BFG Flare dropped support for the tempest shortly after release I believe.

Yeah, 75% sure my issue is just user error and not properly reflattening the screen 😅

But those fits as bowl screen… i know there is one wonkenkraft screen a bit larger.
Did you try it for the balls?

I just looked that up and they appear to be perfect disks with holes perforated through them. These are not going to fit to the thread in the cap and hold the balls securely I think.

Well I have noticed my screen gets slightly more ropey each time, and gets just a little harder to slot into the thread - maybe same issue, just wear and tear of the screen?

So i've been ripping on the tempest since i got it, and i gotta say it's quickly become my favorite vape, its even winning the reach test vs my wireless ball vapes. gets me just as high but doesnt eat trough my stash like wildfire. The way i've been using trough a rig i kill it in one go, the avb is darker than the ball vapes', something about the way it vapes gets me so fried.
