Cheers mate, i will be sure to put it through its paces and report back , im planning on doing a few cloud vids too 👍
I've been very interested in your opinion because of how highly you regard the anvil (as far as I remember from earlier in this thread haha). Interested to see if you think this vape compliments it and what kind of differences in effect you feel. I guess you would have to use the comparison thread for that one though ;)

Just got my tracking, but I’m in US and I probably got a week or two to wait haha but excited!!!

Got tracking too but being in EU means me too i'll have to wait AND pay a bit more!!

Was planning to wait for release to get one so whatever, can't poop on my party, i'll wait...
How long will depend on the goodwill of the custom-people so better not get my hopes up too much.

Just had my tracking info for my tempest and reload, it should be here tomorrow, im like a kid on Christmas eve, can't wait:lol:

I'm hoping it'll be here by Christmas eve so i can behave like a kid christmas day, eve and night!
Fingers crossed!

Yes mate, Anvil,Danis,Dynas ,lotus, sticky bricks, I own/owned most of the top butane vapes and most of the electric ones too.

Brenyo, I'm sure this is a long-shot, but I'm having a bit of trouble getting in contact with Phatpiggie (I'm sure he's busy, not complaining here).

Looking at the cap for the Tempest, I'm wondering if there is a chance it would be able to be used with the Thermal Accumulator stem and bowl. Looks like the threading may be similar. Already have a Tempest on the way, but I managed to lose the cap of my TA while loading on a hike. Slipped off a magnet and down a cliff. I was a bit devastated. It's been the Anvil ever since.

I see you will be selling caps individually and I would love to revive this beautiful original run TA, along side my new Tempest. Thanks in advance!

I would share my list of vapes but it’s more than 50 as I’ve never been satisfied by just one vape :)

The TA and the Tempest are different form. Factors as I understand it, the tempest being smaller than the TA or TA 2

I did each of the below a couple of times, there is variation in the results depending on flame length, depth of the IH adapter, length of time from last heat.

Sooo many variables :)

But I did the below about 3 times and it was very close so I’m happy enough with this.
Thanks again for your efforts. The last tests were a fair comparison, but it was already clear (from the earlier full heat cycle test) that the Tempest is fundamentally a convection device.

Its convection, visual indicator and extended window for use in a heating cycle are significant advantages of the Tempest. And if it can easily do one hit extractions as well, there may be little use for other devices. I know it's possible, but reports so far seem equivocal, and I look forward to more impressions from one hit Anvil users.

Feel like I’m winnin’ when I’m losin’ again
FWIW, the only coil I turned on today was dab ready for an insert drop. A couple weeks in Tempest isn’t in my rotation, it is my rotation (at least for today). It is a Monday night, not that I would have been hitting anything heavy but normally I will turn a desktop on at least once. I just really like using Tempest, and with a nice low temp routine dialed in it hits all the right spots on a relaxed evening.

I just want to say that I think that there is space for both the Tempest and the Anvil as they are different devices and perform differently have different convection/conduction bias's and produce a different feeling. I would have thought myself a decent Anvil user, easily putting up to 3g a day through it and I prefer the Tempest but (subjectively) I get a more of a "body feeling" from the Anvil than the Tempest.

I don't think there will ever be "one vape that rules them all" I just don't see it happening, things feel different, have different efficiency and appeal to different tastes - BUT my little desk that I used has drastically reduced the amount of devices that is sitting on it - now its just Anvils x2, Reloads x2, Tempest, Wand and lighter x2 and a jar of herbs... so neat and tidy and so many things in boxes now - probably needing new homes.

With most vapes I find more body effects with higher temperatures and I assume that would also happen with the Tempest. And I have never chosen a vape solely for its particular conjuring of head vs body effects. Different varieties of herb and different temperatures can usually cover the bases. The Tempest's ability to extend the session with multiple good tokes is appealing, but I'm an old bong smoker and the Anvil's convenient one hit capacity has me hooked. And in that sense I thought the two vapes would make a good pair, unless of course the Tempest can just as well perform both functions. I wasn't asking about feelings (enough has already been said) rather can the Tempest get a good full extraction in one hit? As a user of both devices, if you wanted to crush a bowl in one hit, which one would you choose?

At the moment I feel like I would want the pair - but I haven't tested it properly.

To answer that I need a to put my Tempest on a WPA and do a couple of Anvil rips and then try and do a similar sort of thing on the Tempest. I have nothing else to do at the moment so, be back in a bit

Can the Tempest get a good full extraction in one hit?
Yes

I like both for different reasons so I think the decision will be a personal one

Nice. Looks like you are really dialing it in now. I bet it's great on that piece.

I would recommend a BB6 stem as a WPA. The tiny shotgun hole works really nicely with dry glass j-hook set ups. I find I'm using it quite often now. Keeps the TI stem cleaner so it's always ready to go.

I have one, I was looking for it when I saw the 10mm reducer so I figured I would give it a shot, it was a perfect single heat, 2 breath extraction that really didn't have anything much left in it when I was finished. I liked the flavor, it had a more rich flavour than the Anvil hit i did before it.

I have my J-hook and BB6 and am about to have a couple of "pipes" and try that idea :)

@bhasma I would pick the Tempest over the Anvil if I had to pick one, one of the main reasons is the heat retention, but I think its very subjective as both can do it

I dont remember who talked about the conduction on the chamber, but for everyone who wants a little more of conduction can try to heat it with a dual or single flame torch (not super torch) on the lower line of the induction shield. I find this way excellent for hash when you are not using the wand (stopping heating between lines 2 and 3). And, on the wand maybe you can set it to heat the tempest lower and raise the wand timer.

When i see your photos i feel I have made my device suffer much more with a flame (although I prefer the IH):lol:

Edit: Did anyone try a Dani screen on the tempest? I see the dani screens are 10mm and the tempest screens are 10,25mm

Just checking my tracking, saying expected delivery isn’t for over 2 weeks til December 7th.

Gonna be a long two weeks. I’m gonna try to stay the hell away from this place cause seeing all this discussion and photos and usage! Makes me want mine in hand right now!

Enjoy your tempest everyone. Gonna really try not to be around til I can give my own word on the tempest after it arrives

I check my tracking about 5x a day. Of course it hasn't been updated in 3 days 😒
Feel for you guys further afield, mine is out for delivery and due in a couple of hours, practically rocking back and forth in the corner of the room with anxiety waiting for it....
If I had work to do today that would take my mind off it but I don't.

Mines arrived!!

It's a beautiful piece, i can't get over how light it is!!
My wand isn't arriving until tomorrow so testing won't commence until then as I don't want to put a torch to it🤣
A question for those that have the Tempest, is it possible to stop the mouthpiece spinning?

yes, when you take the mouthpiece apart you move the o-ring on the helix tube to the second spot and that stops it spinning
