On all previous vapes that used click disks, the temp was variable depending on heating source/technique. Heating higher/lower on vapcap/Anvil for example. Is that separate from the clicky parts that you were waiting on? Do the two clicks operate at better temperatures on this revision?
To everyone else, what are the two ideal click temps? I'm assuming it's traditionally one click for flavor and another click for a single hit extraction, with another 2-3 seconds of leeway for complete combustion. All of that happens at a wide range of temperatures though.
But wasn’t the induction heater planned long time before they going to make the Tempest?Pretty obvious to everyone here that it's a better idea to design the induction heater around the vape, than it is the other way around.
What would be the point in designing an induction heater that isn't optimally used for the vape from the same guy/company?
From the interest in this thread, and the good things people have to say I'd think Brenyo has made the right choices.
I know you are probably just joking, but it's not really a fair comparison. From what I gather Mad Heaters changed their priorities and shelved the IH to work on other products. These products have been released and well loved it seems.I hope this isn't going to be like the induction heater Mad heaters reckoned they were going to release
I would say yes but I wasn't in the room at the time, it has been reprioritised evidently. I gave reason for possibly why in my post, your point? But wasn’t the induction heater planned long time before they going to make the Tempest?
I haven’t received the colored ones yet, just a few faulty black ones.@Brenyo What are your thoughts on the colour selection now you have had a few days to assess the colour options in person? Might be hard to whittle it down ha
I'll be going blue/silver. I love the combo, and it matches some of my other gear.@Brenyo What are your thoughts on the colour selection now you have had a few days to assess the colour options in person? Might be hard to whittle it down ha
Yeah, like the color choice in this vid.I'll be going blue/silver. I love the combo, and it matches some of my other gear.
I think all the colours will look lovely in person.
I'm going with the blue stem and silver shell. Just because it's more blue than silver.Yeah, like the color choice in this vid.
Or maybe with a Blue stem and Silver shell. Either way looks good...
Yeah, I think you are right...I'm going with the blue stem and silver shell. Just because it's more blue than silver.
Looks like alien tech. Very cyberpunk. I love that the design is about pure function, yet it looks so damn cool. Nothing superfluous.Yeah, I think you are right...
Woops haha, read your post from the 28th wrongI haven’t received the colored ones yet, just a few faulty black ones.
I have a blue and gold theme going on in my stash box but I've been trying to force myself just to buy pieces that look good individually. Failing miserably thoughI'll be going blue/silver. I love the combo, and it matches some of my other gear.

The Tempest is at the cusp of completion. We have videos of it being used. Just needs the two temp indicators to be fine tuned.
It's still planned.hold on, the IH is shelved? is that confirmed? I was tempted to buy a Koilboi or a VapOven but i was holding out for the Mad Heaters IH...
I think Brenyo said it'll be a 2024 target release, so it's next in line after the Tempest. The IH will be specifically designed for the Tempest (Hopefully that means faster heat up times vs the wand). It's still planned.
Makes sense to do it this way. If IH came out first, it would likely not have been compatible to the TempestI think Brenyo said it'll be a 2024 target release, so it's next in line after the Tempest. The IH will be specifically designed for the Tempest (Hopefully that means faster heat up times vs the wand).
That's what I did. I bought a wand. The Tempest will be a little too big for my Pipes brand IHs. The Wand can be had for around 90 bucks on sale.makes a lot of sense so i guess its time for an "intermediate" IH in the meanwhile.
There will be a Wand adaptor for the Tempest available day one. The adaptor let's the Tempest sit in the device and will hold it there. So you can use it hands free.makes a lot of sense so i guess its time for an "intermediate" IH in the meanwhile.
The videos Brenyo have posted include heating the Tempest up via the Wand. Seemed like it took 30-45 seconds iirc but will hold the heat much longer so only one or two cycles is needed. To me it seems a wash overall for total heat time to clear a bowl but definitely just an opinion at this point!i don't find the Wand a very attractive device, considering the reports i read about how long it takes to heat up, for example, a Dani Fusion.
Still torn between a Koilboi or VapOven until the Sense (or whatever it will be called) is available.
