Where did you get the metal stands that your pieces are sitting in?
Etsy - I'll find a link
I use the Anvil one for my Thermal Accumulator and the Dynavap one for my Tempest

I was more wondering if there were any reviews of the two offerings. Obvioulsy people were happy with the Revolve 2 and the options that came with it so wanted to know what reasons people have to upgrade to Tempest set up
The Revolve Gen 2 vs the Tempest stem? because you can't compare the different ovens as they are totally different creatures.
I have both and use both daily, I have a Thermal Accumulator on a Revolve Gen 2 and a Tempest on the Tempest Native Stem and both work really well for what I am using them for, but I have a Tempest wooden sleeve (which is thinker than the Revolve Gen 2 wooden sleave) in order to be able to handle the heat from the Tempest and the Thermal Accumulator as the sleeves of the Revolve Gen 2 are designed to handle significantly less heat than the Tempest wooden sleeves.
I do. Thats what interests me. If you compare the complete Tempest aginst a Revolve 2 with the Dynavap cap and stem config
If you're using a dinovap you could use either, they both work equally well, the only real differences are the lack of a reclaim screen (which I prefer the Tempest cooling unit without the screen) and a change to the helix tube, the reclaim screen adds some resistance to the stem especially when it gets dirty but otherwise they perform very similarly (when its just a dinovap tip).
Tempest stem is slightly larger than Rev2 stem, so usual benefits apply. Easier to spin, more comfortable to hold, slightly cooler vapor, and most importantly to me, looks.
I 100% agree the Revolve Gen 2 design wasn't my favorite - the Tempest stem and sleeves look great
Oh well. I guess I'll have to get a Tempest and have the Revolve 2. And enjoy it from there. I could alternate between them and make my mind up. I'll look for videos on Tempest. Thanks for advice.
It will be a fun journey as the Tempest is like attaching a ball vape to the end of your dinovap
No, the Tempest is indeed my first ball vape. That could be it. The irritation doesn't quite feel like a scorching sensation, but maybe the heat is drying out my throat? I should add that I also mostly do MTL hits with the Tempest, which should help cool the vapor down further.
I did get to use the Thermal Accumulator once or twice and it didn't seem to cause any irritation. But not enough data. There's really just so many variables here, and it's a real head scratcher. I just want to love the Tempest with no complications haha
Its interesting that I have noticed the same thing, the TA doesn't tickle my through quite like the Tempest does but I can't figure out why or what I am doing differently.... the only noticable difference is I tend to hit the Tempest for longer than the TA, by that I mean say 7 MTL on the TA and 9-11 MTL on the Tempest... maybe the longer it is the drier it gets or something....
DV is decade old tech. It's been bettered over and over again, and still keeps trucking. So I wish people would not get offended by claims of inferiority to other vapes.
DV works and is slowly improving but the Tempest is like a massive leap forwards...
Anyone got a WoodWynd and Tempest for comparison? or got the Tempest dialled in for longish one heat session extractions?
the Tempest is dialed in for at least 9-11 breaths doing an MTL session on a single bowl - easily better than any of the dinovaps I have.
If someone asks on this Tempest thread which is better, then any serious actor is going to describe a considerable gulf in performance.
the chasm is more like the The Mariana Trench...

I am so tempted to get things as they are released hear but I think I am going to just have to wait until the release and get everything I want at once if I can - the glass sleave, the cleaning box, the wand stand... etc
Tempest still feels like expensive unobtainium to me, but someday it might be just the thing to add to my arsenal!
I believe there might be future options for Tempest WPA style setup that's a little more affordable, Brenyo mentioned it much earlier in the thread
