Do we already know if the Tempest is compatible with the new DV Wand adaptor?

I like that you can move the adaptor up and down to adjust the temperature.

The Tempest comes with its own wand adapter.

Anyone tried Tempest with VHB 3D 3S or can share view? Worth getting over Wand?

Anyway, I can't seem to get in contact with VHB via it's mail...and the mentioned model is listed as sold out.

Not sure but DVs work in the tempest wand adapter and it also moves up and down

Does any have a YLL 2.0 and tried it with the Tempest? General consensus on Reddit seems to be that it doesn't work with the Tempest, but I can't find any further details as to why. Thought I'd ask on here.

I think it's because the YLL 2.0 coil diameter is too small to fit the tempest

I don't know how anyone can vape on a Dynavap while having a Tempest around its like comparing a Ferrari to a fiat 500🤣🤣
Sold most of mine after getting the tempest. But the other day I pulled out one of the ones I have left and gave it a couple rips was pretty pleasant, definitely tell the difference in conduction vs. convection of the tempest and big long rips for how long it holds the heat

@Beansuppa the liner is from stainless steel...absorbs heat slower than titanium.
ah ok good to know. Well, my point still applies regardless!

I still use my HookahHead WPA with an m+ tip as half bowl, with an FMJ. It's my easiest no fuss vape when I want a small dose.

I got my Ebony wood sleeve yesterday and like most that have gotten one I get why they're so pleased with it. It's a keeper.

I have come to the foregone conclusion that I will be buying another Tempest as a back-up. After using it since beginning of November last year I can't imagine if I lost it or for whatever other reason it went AWOL, being without it wouldn't sit well at all.

Hi guys, what's the state of affairs, I haven't been there for a long time. Is the finish line still in March? Thank you!

I've been doing some experimenting starting with the included instructions for the beta as a baseline. I started on the lower end of heat with the wand, and I'm now currently at 575F with my tempest and revolve settings getting close to tuned in. I've exclusively used the wooden sleeve. I've been doing a pretty tight pack, medium grind.

I agree with earlier posters who said they had better results with open airflow on the tempest. The revolve I've tinkered with a few settings, and I'm currently on open direct airflow with the DRC on bypass. I get about 2.5 hits before I have to toss'er back in the wand for another 2 (less tasty) hits.

I pull pretty hard on the first two hits with the carb covered most of the time, feathering a little towards the end of the 2nd and 3rd hits by rolling it in my fingers. I've been going MTL, mostly because I prefer the ritual.

The visual indicator is cool as hell, it helps me gauge reheating a little better. I am looking forward to the click though.

2-3 back-to-back sessions gets the stem too hot to hold for me, obviously I'll also need another one :).

The vapor has been cool and I haven't coughed at all under any circumstances, except the one time I did see how much vapor I could get if I pulled really hard for a long time, the answer is a lot. 😶‍🌫️

Thank you, I am aware of that. But I would like to have an adapter for the DV now, as I have just bought a Wand. So it would be great if the Tempest was also compatible with the new DV adapter.
I do not recommend buying a DV adapter. If memory serves me right, the DV adapter for the Wand is too small in diameter for the Tempest. Mad Heaters sends you a custom-made adapter for the Wand for the Tempest.

To be honest, I have extreme difficulty using DV (and all my other vapes) these days.

I use DV's along with other vapes...dont see a issue here...please dont judge me

"De gustibus non est disputandum."

"In matters of taste, there can be no disputes."

One plug for the Tempest: I have NO OTHER vape that can put a spotlight on taste itself like the Tempest.

Compare the taste of good flower in a Tempest to anything else. In my experience, the taste in the Tempest takes absolute first place. Flower just pops with flavor, but I don't find that same level with other vapes. In the last 2 weeks or so, I've selected new strains to try out for flavor alone. I have a big smile on my face as I share this with you now. I just had some Blue Face. Wow. 💙💙💙💙

Before I owned the Tempest, I'd stick to 2 or 3 tried and true favorites (with GMO in first place). With my Trusty Tempest, I'm eager to explore more. I'm so happy that I "came out of my flavor cave" to try new flower (and some hash).

My local budtender and the Tempest make this a flavor expedition: Blue Face, Candy Rain, Hawaiian Snowcone... those are strains I'd not consider before owning the Tempest. Now, I'm way more open to anything that tastes good. Hopefully, you all have someone in your area/ dispensary that knows his/her trade well.

Even without a good local budtender, the Tempest will deliver taste with whatever you have on hand.

Yep. Agree. It's such a gorgeous, functional, portable vape.

Thanks to all for sharing your thoughts with this magic vape. It's so wonderful to see how others react and explain settings/effects.

Took delivery today.. I tried a few bowls, fried a few of them too, that was till I figured out the VI was getting stuck.. I've adjusted my technique with that knowledge.. cleaned her up and managed to get a good few. With that said is there anything I can do for the sticky VI? Could it be that the discs put pressure on the VI so it doesn't bind? Regardless of teething.learning curve nits, this thing is monstrous... I feel like I need better flower for her... I'm really taken aback at the level of detail. I want to keep exploring but must wait till Sunday night.. congrats to everyone getting theirs promptly...tbh I wouldn't have known about this with out dv but man.. talk about elevating an idea .. just refined and thought through, the whole experience is aimed at you the user.. @Brenyo thanks, what you've done here is special. Definitely feels like like it'll stand the test of time as well.. quality shit!

I have old VHBs. I've no idea what the new ones look like.

VHBs that I have are the best IHs I own for DV. I do not recommend them if you plan to use the Tempest (from my guessswork). The Wand is perfect for the Tempest.

When I tried my VHB on my Armored Cap, the heat began to deform the surface plastic. The Armored Cap sucks up heat,**** and I imagine a lot less than the Tempest. I'd say pass on VHB unless you are in love with your DynaVaps.

**** Because the temperature needed to make the Armored Cap click is so high (much less than needed for the Tempest?), it can melt the materials. The Wand seems way more robust for heat tolerance.

I recently made a purchase with the idea of doing a little experimentation...

I ordered some spare Zirc balls and when I was ordering I couldn't help myself from picking up 100 2.38mm SiC balls.

If anyone has any specific ideas or things they want me to assess let me know!
Hey nice catch!
how many can you fit of them inside? Are 90 enough?

Did you have the time to experiment with it?
Is the difference in diameter affecting the tightness of the draw?
Noticeable difference in temperatures/flavour?

The VHB 3D has an exposed coil....been considering it myself for the Anvil...

Can anyone tell me how to remove the mouthpiece/airflow tube? I tried giving it a tug from the cooling unit, but it didn’t come out easily so I stopped.

Get something to wedge in between the mouthpiece and base to pry it apart just a little. Then pull out. A VERY small flat head screwdriver will work. Lube up the stem just a tad before putting it back in the base where oring is inside ;)
