lol this is why I don't do videos n stuff anymore
I keep the cap on the top of the Reload to have it somewhere that can handle the heat and give me something to handle instead of grabbing the cap itselfAlways enjoy the videos but since you don't use the debowler on the Tempest why keep it on as it only acts as a heat sink? I had mine on originally until it was pointed out by @Brenyo that it only pulls heat away from the thermal matrix.
Awesome, haven’t got any temp stuff so I’ve been waiting for someone to comment on it. Do you find the VI matches up with the clicks?I haven't mentioned this before, and I noticed that no one else is mentioning it either, but I am getting clicks at very close to the right temperature, and lately I have been relying on the click to tell me when to start drawing. They may be a hair early but if so they are still pretty close...
That is a good question. I haven't really been paying much attention to the VI. I will look more closely when I get home tonight.Awesome, haven’t got any temp stuff so I’ve been waiting for someone to comment on it. Do you find the VI matches up with the clicks?
My battery indicator on the wand also goes way down when using the Tempest. I have read in the past that it isn't the best at reading battery level. I also believe that the Tempest draws a lot more energy from the wand than a DV for example. Even on brand new, freshly charged Molicels it does this. However, it still seems to work for lots of heats. That is a good question. I haven't really been paying much attention to the VI. I will look more closely when I get home tonight.
I seem to be having a problem with my wand, which I described in more detail in another thread, but he battery indicator is dropping precipitously, even on a fresh set of batteries, making it very difficult to effectively use the Tempest with the wand. I didn't really notice this until I swapped out from the aspire batteries that came with the device to some relatively new LGHG2s that I've been using in other vapes. This is even happening with molicels that are not brand new but certainly are not old and work fine in other vapes. I'm starting to wonder about the wand.

My wands battery gauge is all over the place too and it's new, is it the batterys being low quality the problem or the wand itself?
the Tempest draws about 100w from the batteries where the Dynavap draws like 30w so when you put the Tempest in, it compares the power remaining to the current output which shows the amount remaining as much lower
My guess is that the indicator picks up on the voltage sagNew wand-user too and my battery indicator also goes all over the place but i read these posts when i just received my wand:
I use two pairs of new Molicel P28 for the record. Should count the heatings i get out of fresh charge but the indicator goes down to 1 bar during first cycle but "recovers" after. Brenyo said he gets 15 cycles out of a charge but like i said i didn't count yet.
Mine does this as well, I think it's just estimating battery life based on draw but it doesn't actually drain that much. I've seen mine drop to 1 bar during use, but the next time I turn the wand on the batteries are still at 3-4 bars. That is a good question. I haven't really been paying much attention to the VI. I will look more closely when I get home tonight.

I'm jealous your disks even work. I've literally never heard mine activate. But my VI seems to work pretty well, I reheat once it gets a little below the 1st notch and stop just over the 2nd. So far so good but still testingI haven't mentioned this before, and I noticed that no one else is mentioning it either, but I am getting clicks at very close to the right temperature, and lately I have been relying on the click to tell me when to start drawing. Still haven't tried that. I'll give it a go now.Thats cool mate, definitely looked like a great roast. Do you have a repeatable technique down?
Out of curiosity what are you expecting as a difference with SIc compared to Zrc?
Did you ever figure it out mate? If not can I help?
And randomly….
I like to set up different things to use hands free… anyone else have a setup for use at home with their Tempest?
@RedZep I decided I prefer to open the Tempest sideways on the cap of the Reload using the notches on the cap to slot into the top of the Reload? Really useful when the Tempest cap is tight and wants to slip on the magnet if your doing it vertical.

Yes, the Tempest clearly draws much more power than a VC. And with the Aspire batteries the indicator jumps all around and then comes back. With my LGHGs, however, after one successful heating, the battery indicator tends to keep dropping til it goes completely dark and shuts down.Mine does this as well, I think it's just estimating battery life based on draw but it doesn't actually drain that much. I've seen mine drop to 1 bar during use, but the next time I turn the wand on the batteries are still at 3-4 bars.
I am going to blame the batteries for now. I don't think any of them are unused at this point.
Just got up and saw the post on Instagram about it being on "tonight" which conveniently seems to be just nowStill haven't tried that. I'll give it a go now. Btw the Tempest is making an appearance on the Troy and Jerry show tonight. Quite excited myself.
Only way I was able to get it was by really really pulling at the mouthpiece to get it loose. Mine was pretty stubborn but eventually came out.Anybody still willing to help me figure out how to change the inner tubes? I would love to try the direct airflow tube….
Many of us having same wand/battery thing happening so it’s fine I’d imagine…just the want pulling energy and then remembering where the true capacity is after the heat cycle ends.
I also get bud stuck in the threads (i mentioned the threads maybe to thin so this doesn’t happen but really that’s just reaching for a negative here.
I’m amazed- flavor is just so good. I love it
my tempest came missing a few as well. looking forward to getting some extras soon hereIs there an official and for sure count on the balls in each of the pre releases?
I had my screen come loose and some fell out after my last bowl when I unscrewed the cap so I found what I hope was what fell and emptied the rest with them and cleaned them.
It’s hard counting these tiny things but it seems around 80
Edit: seems the manual says 90 so I may be missing some
