probably not the first person to do this, but I attach a paperclip to my summit on the hook at the bottom where the oven cap string is also attached. the paperclip acts as a stir tool and can also be used to fish out/push in the screens. just bend one of the tips out when using it, then bend it back to original position when hooking back onto the vape.

I have been playing with my Summit more and more and I am liking it more and more.
Going to dispensary tomorrow (public transportation) finally have enough confidence to take the Summit instead of Arizer Air or Ascent.
I like that the Summit is self contained (no glass parts) and the quick heating times are a real plus.
For grabbing a couple of hits here or there the Summit is better than a session vape.

You may well be the first with a paperclip. Personally I use a safety pin (with the tip heated and bent). Size number 2 to be specific. Strong steel, sharp point and safely protected when stowed. Easy to get on and off. I generally stir with the spring end of it (closed up) not the tip. Useful tool, when I remember to clip it on on the way out the door. I generally remove it because it tends to get in the way. The new version has a built in stirrer I think, along the lines I was thinking about a while back. I was thinking of drilling a hole under the MP near the magnets on one side so I could stash a steel wire with a hook on one end under the MP........
I also store ground herb in 'doob tubes' and sometimes carry the modified safety pin in with the herb. It's easy enough to dump it into your palm and fish the pin out before returning the herb. I even whimsically considered gluing a magnet to the cap so it would be even easier. I may very well do it someday, I go through whimsical moods like everyone else. Well, at least some others?
Great little product I think. Not a great party vape, or even a really good session vape for a single guy (unless your tolerance is way less than mine).

Every good vaporizer should have a built in poking & stirring tool, I like the hooked safety pin idea. Could come in handy for screen cleaning time & screen removal.
As far as going heavier on the new model, I kind of like the light weight nature of my Summit, and the way it disappears into my pocket, just like it's not there till I need it.
I think that going heavier to put some Bluetooth in, is maybe not so good.
Unless we get some serious control of the firmware. Like switching all the lights off on the exterior. But it's really on in stealth mode. Plus the ability to turn it on and off from cold on my phone, that would be cool, otherwise why bother with this Bluetooth. If this is available, count me in, I'll buy one.

It's strength is in its Stealth design and haptic feedback, quick to heat, use one handed, and very small with quite a tough outer case.
You can slip it into your cuff of your jumper's sleeve, and take a sly hit on it in public, I am quite attached to my Summit, it's very good for this purpose.

I'm with you there for sure. Small, lightweight and rugged are strong points along with the 'one hit at a time' idea.
Heavier and/or more complex is going the wrong way. But 'longer battery life' is awfully attractive to sales types (after all, most buy before they heft?
The only change I would like has been brought up before, it'd be nice to get a buzz to tell you it's timed out? It could be the same as when manually shut down (two 'beeps'? I don't have mine handy).

Exactly, that's about the only thing wrong with this vaporizer, no haptic to standby, and the haptic buzz needs a bit more buzz in it, and those frigen blinding lights.
But with blue tooth & clever software, all our problems could be on toggles, and we could simply turn features on and off in the software realm. Well maybe on the next installment of this handy device.

well summarized. I picked up the summit mainly for solo use at indoor concert venues and have been extremely happy with it due to the features you listed.
only needing one hand to operate is super important in the 'stealth' category imo

How smart can a device get and still remain simple? It is really idiot proof and rather not have it compromised to be topical. I'm cautious about implementation but sure the smartphone background experience may shine through

I'm not sure about this part, I think 'it depends'? It's OK IMO if you can use it with default settings. Not everyone has a smart phone (hard as that might be for some to believe). Some of us have them but basically never carry or use them (tool of the devil you know). Mine is in the glove compartment in the car, in case I get a flat or need gas or something. The charger is with it as the battery is sure to be dead. There are no 'apps' on it I'm aware of.
ESV uses a computer based app to set the power levels. There are 3 presets so you can change in the field if you've programed them first.....for that you need a computer, IMO a 'feature' that limits it's potential customer base.
It would be nice to be able to dim the display, change the buzzing and time limits and so on if you wanted to and were willing to work it out but the unit should come 'out of the box' ready to run and serve without the need for a cell phone and special program. If that is needed to make it work perhaps Vapium should include the phone with the unit? Otherwise it's not really a complete vape.

Another small but helpful change is that a stronger magnet is used for the lid. Having said that, the 'lobster style elastic band' is still included with each unit.

Glad you're off to a good start. I like mine too.
Since it's a conduction deal I load the bowl full (taking full advantage of as much (hot) wall contact possible). And moderately packed, not jammed enough to restrict draw, but in firm enough contact with t he walls and other herb so heat can rapidly spread through the load.
Since it goes cold between hits you don't pay the usual penalty for loading more than you need.

Newbie. First Vap and just jumped in. After reading this entire thread and learning everything i need to know here are my observations after using the Summit for the past two months.
The clear plastic mouthpiece gives a better draw, I never used it until reading this. The recommendation to not go back to the burn pipe and just stay on the vape, always, is key to enjoying and getting used to vaping. I miss the "thud" but the afterburn is great. I now tilt my bottom screen and use a screen on top too. Not convinced this makes a huge difference but seems to work well. I never used the amber setting or number 4 and it is a great beginning point. I began using the vape and sucking 5-10 hits and then 10 mins later I was really buzzed. I realized you have to wait 5-10 mins to gauge the buzz unlike when burning 10 or 20 seconds later it's - whoa, with the vape its 5 mins or more and then - whoa. I use less product which is huge for me here in NY where I have to scramble to get something and when I do I load up with an ounce and try to hold out as long as possible. It's tough to get. A half a load/bowl gives me two sessions and sometimes three. Thanks to everyone for the responses, it has excelled my experience.

Not much action here on the new Plus.
Here is a video review.
It appears that the screen hole design has changed, the area around the chamber is smoother so less places for material to hide. This video shows this as well the new Red O-Ring near the mouthpiece, stir tool, and metal oven cover on the lid. Also the Smartphone App and rubber band is shown. Gone is the tool to tamp, stir and remove the screens as far as I can tell, but it is listed as an included accessory on some websites.
I like all the new improvements, but I wish the thing would vibrate when going into standby. Regardless, I think I will buy yet another. The added weight will give it a higher quality feel. Bet it draws even better too.

Anyone thinking about getting a Summit should know that vapor institute has them on sale for $99.
My assumption would be that they are clearing out the Summits to make room for the Summit plus.
It is quite possible other retailers will price match.

I'm loving my new (to me) Summit!
After a long time of subsistence living the VA has upped my % and I have a bit of $ on hand. It has taken me months to actually adapt to this and supplement my old MLFB. Based on my 1 day experience with it I may well not bother with a non portable.
Some of the things that others like in a desk top don't matter at all to me. And the things I would want in a desk top the summit is doing!
Im not looking for OMG!?!? clouds of vape. No clouds is a bonus. I'm not looking to host parties so the capacity is just fine.
The temp and draw are what make it a real winner for me. I don't need something for monster hits; but, the sipping on my MFLB is to slight. And this thing is way cooler than expected. I need something for medical users that have no experience with cannabis to easily use and this is perfect.
