Have had my Milaana for 2 days now and loving it. Bought it to backup my two grasshoppers which are both dead (again). The flavour is immense and I feel like I’m getting the hang of it. Am having to stir throughout the bowl and wondering if mine might be set a little cooler as I don’t take my finger of the Button much and have to preheat for about 8 seconds even on a fresh battery. Also haven’t been able to match the cloud production I’ve seen on some videos in this post. I’m taking a while to get used to the huge airflow. All that said.... I love this vape!

Unless you are doing a session each load is cold when you pick it up. We use a lot of energy to get load up to temp. You are trying to find sweet spot where heater is supplying enough to vape but not so much to combust. You are trying to ride the wave as heater cools. No sense in wasting energy to heat what we are not inhaling.:myday:

The more you use it the more intuitive it becomes. I'm in love with this vape as well.

Got my Milaana the other day and found this adapter to use as a mouthpiece at a local head shop for $10. It cools the vapor as much as a medium/long stem because of the bend, but has an extremely small profile. Also should collect some reclaim at the end of the stem. Everybody should try this setup ASAP!

interesting..........looks more like a glass piece adapter of sorts, but I guess you found a better use for it!!

@awmaster10 Very creative , awesome ! I like the profile it gives. Does it (must) fit facing the button side and away from the battery receptor.

Yep it can rotate 180 degrees clockwise so the mouthpiece is toward the camera hanging over the left side instead of the right side of the device. It only hits the device when the reclaim collecting part is facing directly at the battery compartment and terminal. (Aka about 180 degrees counter clockwise).

For battery safety it would be best to do that but the orientation shown makes the button access very natural. Overall the setup is great though and cools the perfect amount for the size. I’m sure it would shatter extravagantly if the device is dropped so consider buying a backup since they are only $10.

I was told that DDaves mods for Milanna were hit & miss in fittings (18mm).I bought a Dave Milanna Cooler (waterless) but it came with noway to attach it to the fabulous Milanna, no place for the flowers. Any suggestions as what to do?

OyVape the cooler rests on the Milanna screen a little too close to the heater, no? Any basket recommendation ? May work if the basket is pushed all the way up. What do you think ?

My suggestion for a bent stem for 18 mm vapes is this item from Amazon for $7.95 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...fl_title_11?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2YWUIZGUW9D1Y

extra screens 20 screens for $12 total https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072V86X21/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&smid=A3NL3HQJBHO5FT&th=1

EDIT: BTW if anyone has any @DDave pieces that seem too long, I have a solution. Buy yourself some Teflon tape (totally outside the vapor path) and make a couple of winds around the stem and you're in business.

@Modicum, see the above post about Teflon tape. Got some at Home Depot. Works for me. You probably have to re-wrap it after cleaning.

The Milaana has room for a US male joint 22mm long. If the cooler joint is ISO, 26mm long, it is too long and can damage the heater screen. You CAN put an oring or something on the joint that effectively shortens it and that might be satisfactory.

If you look up a couple posts to the sidecar style mouthpiece I am using, it is actually being held snug by teflon tape. Never gets near hot enough to be a problem for teflon and outside the vapor path.

Edit: I have been getting INCREDIBLE results with my current setup. I have compared with equally sized packs in my hydrobrick and Milaana and am getting much better flavor, longevity of flavor, and number of hits from the Milaana. I love it! The setup is the following:

- The mouthpiece pictured a few posts up on this page. Sidecar style with 18mm male on both ends.
- regular screen placed on the "rim" inside the 18mm joint like in a 7th floor vaporizer
- Arizer dome screen to cap the end of the joint
- Samsung 30q batteries
- Medium fine grind
- Pack 1/4-1/2 way up 18mm joint

This allows the bud to circulate and stir itself within the capped pack, and allows easy shaking which negates the need to open the pack up and stir. I have been getting extremely even extraction and a ton of hits per load. I appreciate that this vape can microdose really well but I appreciate even more the way it handles the medium sized loads I am used to from the hydrobrick.

The mouthpiece is absolutely perfect and gives good feedback without being hot at all, and it can be rotated to a couple really comfortable drawing positions.

The 30q batteries run cooler than some others, but have amazing life and honestly they make the learning curve easier because you can just preheat 5 seconds and draw at medium speed while riding the heat and not combust.

WOW. This thing has exceeded my expectations big time, and I hope everybody has tried out a setup like this or can at least find this style of mouthpiece at a local head shop.

Does anybody know what glue is supposed to be used to repair the female joint in the og milaana?

It's not broken, it's just a bit loose all of a sudden. I have some aquarium silicone...

:hmm:

Ryan uses a medical grade 2 part epoxy, but I don't know what it is called. I think he sent some to someone in the thread so they probably have the name.

Once you master the Milaana it is the best portable on the market IMO. As far as quality vapor goes anyway.

This is 6 huge incredibly tasty rips with no stirring. Screen is probably 1.25 inches down the stem with the dome facing where you put your mouth, so the load is pretty far away from the heater compared to stock setup. I find this allows much more even roasting with little effort. Absolutely amazing for huge waterpipe rips. Could probably fit about .5 comfortably the way it's setup but I probably have about .25 in this bowl and it isn't even close to full. It's a 18 to 14mm adapter and the inside is huge.

Cheesequake, I also have been putting the screen far down the joint and packing large packs. Very even extraction and tons of hits with no charring because of the added distance from the heater.

I find that when I push further down I have a hard time getting vapor (I do not use a water tool) and the herb never really gets utilized. I still get some nice flavor, and sometimes even a little medicated from it, but I have to use another vape to get all the goodies extracted.
@Cheesequake Does the herb ever get brown? Are you able to extract everything from it?

Yeah you can make it as brown as you want and extract every bit. I was just trying to vape the whole bowl without stirring.

Edit:

Recorded a full session with the Milaana through my bubbler and edited out the parts where I'm stirring or not doing anything. ABV shot at the very end of the video.
