Very interesting, how in the 50's, femininity in photographs, displayed women with palms up, and forefinger extended...

Cool... I always kinda wondered a little (not enough to actually bother looking it up apparently...ha) about deciduous bansai.... and what the leaf cycle would be and look like.... only jokingly thought about annuals like weed (or perennials)... pretty wacky!

edit: don't growers call similar looking (of course without all the obvious aesthetics) "lollipopping", "mainlining" or "manifolding"...? Been basically totally out of the growing loop since about '94 or so..

live (literally less than a minute ago) out on a hike looking for one last lady slipper:

Came out of the woods on the right and up upon the back of a cool old Italian cemetery... see any familiar names...?

we agreed the rock with ancient blasting holes under a giant white pine would be a good vape spot:

Looks like it expired whilst surveying it's domain right on the front steps... how cool is that?



Gonna have to wait til next year....!

The nuthatch (or is it titmouse?) call is super loud! I almost fell off the pointy rock I was perched on...! (I kid)

if you look hard you'll notice tons of trash... this land is an area many would never even notice, let alone explore for lady slippers etc. It's probably about 100 acres of largely marshy wetlands sandwiched between the cemetery and an old railroad bed that's been converted to a multi-town bike path surrounded by strip malls, hotels, supermarkets, interstates and fast food joints. Pretty urban area for the Northeast...
