Moving pictures allowed? This is pretty cool...
Spectacular! I love me some fast moving, soupy cauldrons of molten rock!

While I've never been much for "rules" (seeing as I did include a vid in my last post... :uhoh:), we have a more suitable thread available as well, if you do so desire... :peace:

Good Videos to watch when you're Vaked!!

And now the pictures... ;):

Because the third walk of the morning was a little late, and therefore too hot and sunny, and waaaaay too many people (obviously), we decided to hit up the "lady slipper" patch next to the Rail Trail and cemetery again for a short walk in the shade....

The lady slippers were replaced by Indian pipe (= summer!).... yay!! I never knew bumblebees hit them up, too... amazing!:

What we always called "Indian hemp" (Sweetfern)... smells wonderful when you mash up the leaves:

Probably what was once more than a seasonal pond, looks to be no longer a pond at all, and merely a seasonal puddle:

(Ha...he's such a ham)

Other side of seasonal puddle:

Pretty deep/steep on this side. The "Rail Trail" is about 200' behind me. The pics of the geese and snake the other day were from the stretch in red (bottom right) the first stream headed northeast from going under I495.

Hawk, turkey.....?:

Early Morning Moon Set
View attachment 9535
Ha, I watched it set, too, at about 3:30AM or so, behind the hillside we're on here in central MA. I bet it sunk much more quickly over the water... It was so clear and bright (and low, got up @ 2:30)....! Always weird walking around outside in the early AM casting a massive, distinct shadow...
