Those exist already... or specifically from w9?

Ya I definetly would like them from w9, specifically for each cartridge, machine wound to eliminate the hotspots on wire which causes a shorter coil life, except laser welding titanium I believe is a prob for these type (titanium) of pre-made coils, rebuilds would still require the non-resistance leads and those damn gold crimps, I would still love that, so close to the precipice, but so far

Edit- I dont think THC likes coils much though, Its old technology, so Im not holding my breath

Hi guys. Question about the Kiss Alpha Centauri i just recieved. I am using it with a Persei at 3.7v. Do you guys prefer the dual or single coil? Can the dual coil be run at 3.7v? I've never seen a dual coil 3.7v cart before. I am using crumble.

I personally love the AC dual coil on the Persei @ 7.4v. You can run it at 3.7v, just not the same. I pulse the button @ 7.4v and can maintain as much cloud as I need per hit.

@sethhobrin at 3.7V, it takes a while... If your pen has a timeout, you'll need to go more than one cycle. Since 7.4V is so satisfying, I haven't used it much at 3.7V, but it works.

To give an alternative opinion I exclusively run at 3.7v because I find the flavor at 7.4v is awful. Cloud production and taste are a trade off and I think you'll need to experiment and find your personal preference. If you have a Core you can really dial it in and find the sweet spot that satisfies you best as an individual.

One of the reasons I preferred the original Globe dual coils over the AC and newer Globe is because the wire heated up much faster. This allows you to get quicker vapor production and minimizes oil sliding off the coil and pooling in the cup while it heats up.

The only cart I consistently use at 7.4v is the Herc. One of the amazing things about the Herc is that you can blast monster clouds and the taste remains great!

Thanks! I am a herc pro. Been making clouds daily for a year now on the sr-71 at 7.4v. I just picked up this new cart to check it out and and have something smaller. So far I've been playing with the single coil on a stealth mode persei with ss kit. I was wondering how I can make use of the dual coil. I am remembering why I don't like this style of cart(the melting off and pooling in the cart). But for stealth this is much better!

I used to only do 7.4 for the herc, for everything else it seemed harsh and the flavor wasn't as good. But the kiss ac dual coil at 7.4 is kind of all I use now. To me if you feather the button the first hit is like a herc or donut hit, the second can be too if you get it just right. Flavor starts to go after that if there is any left to vape, I only do 1 or 2 bb sized amounts person session though. I really like the dual coil kiss 3 at 7.4 too, but if I'm not doing layg at 7.4 I'd do the the herc over the kiss 3. I love the kiss 3 on a minicron lite, tasty and stealthy. I love the donut flavor at 7.4, I just don't enjoy using donuts as much.

I like the dual coil on the core, I find new settings I like all the time :) yeah, you can burn your oil w/ 7.4v, but if you're careful, you can also avoid that. On fresh dual batteries, it's tough no matter what you, so Core is the best workaround for getting the perfect clouds and flavor balance for you. If you're using batteries, I find bb sized loads simply disappear in one second long pulse. Do not pulse again, even bough you can get another cloud out of it; add another bb for every second long pulse to ensure you don't burn your load and ruin the flavor. NEVER EVER PULSE LONGER OR MORE TIMES. It's not gonna explode or anything, but if you do you cant complain about flavor loss; it's tough to get a coil clean of charred oil, you're more likely to break the coil.

I only find this to be true of the dual coil AC vs the dual coil globe atty. I find on a fresh battery my single coil AC vaporizes at nearly the same speed. I still have to modulate the button, just like with the kiss globe. I agree that the globe attys are overall faster, but I feel like it's barely perceivable in use.

Edit: meant to paste this into my previous post, sorry for hitting post instead. Stoner.

Agreed on the single coil. I've been using my AC with single coil on the new Omicron I got with great hits, flavor, and reasonable heat up times. Only issue there is I get the red blinky light a lot and have to fuss with unscrewing/screwing the AC.

Hi everyone. OK, so riddle me this, why would the blue light that backlights my Persei button get very dim, but only when my Hercules is attached? It works normally with a KISS cart. The resistance of the Hercules (with 3.7V "black" rod) is 0.76 ohms. Also, the Hercules hits lousy all of a sudden. Please advise, I'm stumped.

@THC SCIENTIFIC Does the sale of the 8 and the Okeanos mean that w9tech is no longer going in the direction of SS?

Edit: Oh wow, I notice the 8 is on sale, too. $130 for a brand new one! Dunno how long they've been on sale, but they were full price the last time I looked.

Team NO SLEEP!
I know I keep coming back to the waters edge with the same damn questions so I am going to pull the trigger in the next day and quit dwelling on the decision.

Which do I get? I have been going back and forth for months and time to get off the pot. Persei or 8?

Same price?!?

I had been concerned over all the "advanced talk" and am really not looking for a high maintenance vape, but I want the best experience available.

From my reading, it seems the most important thing with these is to pulse the power and take cool down hits after a pull.

Do I go for the Persei with all that is included? Or the 8?
Does one outperform the other with the Herc cart?

If I get the 8 I know it comes with nothing, what else do I need in my shopping cart for the ultimate experience?
