I have no experience in using something like the hammer. Since the ceramic element gets super hot, is it vaporizing or burning the oil? If it is vaporizing, this is a must own.

Vaping... it is really good at getting all the flavor out and leaving a little on the nail that doesnt get hot enough to vape all of. im sure with a core dialed up it would possess burnability, but as it is its a very efficient oil tool. less is much more.

@VapingCO get a persei. I had owned quite a few vapes/portable vapes/pens before the persei, so i felt like i was ready to jump right to the herc, which is amazing. just get familiar with the kiss carts first and if you find you have a need/want for the herc or anything else, you wont have to be worried about then buying the persei. I wasted sooooooo much money on other vapes and devices, and waited till the v3 tops were out before buying a v1... so i havent been around w9 for long, but i should have adopted the higher end stuff first. its just so adaptable for whatever you need.

@THC SCIENTIFIC Hey Gary I posted earlier, but no one replied. My button assembly on the 8 melted while I was using the Herc, and I cant unscrew it because plastic is covering part of the screw. A while ago you said 8 owners can get the newer assembly if they give you the order number. How do I go about receiving one?

is it possible for you to show me what is melted? im trying to figure out how thats even possible. Thanks.

Just about to pull the trigger on getting a persei I've been wanting a vape for wax and shatter at home and on the go. I've been trying to research everywhere on the web and everyone seems to think its the best. Just wondering I found two different sites with two different prices just wondering if there is any big difference. The first is from the w9tech website for $129 and the other is from vapor warehouse for $99 if there is no differnce in quality or warranty I would rather get the cheaper one. Since I am going to be using it on the go I was wondering if the omicron would be better? Also wondering what are good attachment/ assesories are awesome for the persei/omicron. Thanks

The persei on w9 will have the version 3 top, not sure about the other site. It could be a version 2 top which is why it's cheaper. Not really sure what the differences are between the versions though. Not sure about the warranty either. I'd get the persei over the omicron in case you want to do 7.4, which you should to run the hercules. Unless I'm running the herc I really prefer 3.7 stuff that I run on my omicron lite or on the core. Globes are my favorite and are good to learn on since you can see in with kiss cartridges a close second in my opinion. They are tougher and stealthier though so I still use them pretty often. I also like, but not love, the eo carts when load as you go isn't going to work. Love my okeanos too. I'd get a 3.7 & 7.4 kiss and a globe to see what you like better. An eo cart too if you're looking for that.

Mine did not melt. But I did have an issue that may cause melting. The screw holding the Push button backed out a bit. When I pushed the button the metal bottom was making contact with the metal housing causing a short. I saw a bright spark and the spring collapsed, slightly burning the red plastic sleeve on the battery. After disassembly and tightening the screw it started working. Now the button is harder to press.

IMO, the 7.4 kiss is only good if you literally only have time for one puff. With the 3.7, you get a small buffer that allows for 2-3 hits (which tend to be quite enjoyable) where as the 7.4 annihilates the dab & vapes EVERYTHING in one hit (harsh, but not too harsh). A true one hitter.

I agree with dani dub. The 3.7 are so smooth, the 7.4 heats too quickly and at times, taste like burnt oil. But I am still a newbie to w9 but enjoying the ride.

Does the Okeanos on sale on w9 have splash guard?

They can give some ENORMOUS flavor clouds with the right pulse method. Not even half a second button push and 1+ second cooldown will rock out good and no burning however I've been spoiled by the hercules and even the TI GR2 carts have a slight metallic taste in my opinion by comparison. For me though the 7.4v carts are in a weird place, if I am running 7.4 then why not go Hercules... and if I need stealth then I go short SS tube + 3.7 kiss. The 7.4 kiss is like a dab rig, just a blast in the face. I still use mine occasionally but mostly just the hercules, I like how it's a little more relaxed experience.

With my kiss 3.7, I just use my glass Dabber to pulse it into the black ceramic. However, I only used a ball of shatter several times and it always burned the bottom of the shatter and tasted metallic. I think I had the opposite result, where 3.7 tastes only like the concentrate and is so smooth. As samuraisam taught me, everyone has different experiences with different w9 parts but everyone somehow finds exactly what they need.

Red plastic sleeve on my battery melted as well, but I cannot say for sure if the button shorted out or what. I am afraid to put batteries back into my unit. Still waiting to hear back about my email I sent W9 yesterday if they would be willing to take a look at it and let me know what can be done.

My V3 top has started acting buggy. It constantly turns itself off while I'm using it, mostly with KISS carts but also with my Herc. Is this something anyone else has experienced? My batteries are adjusted well, so it's not losing that connection. Is this enough to qualify me for a V4 top? It's annoying when it does it to me personally and especially when it does it to some one else.

Go with the w9 persei. I ordered one vaporwarehouse less than a month ago. They sent me a v2 persei and it already messed up. It started smoking when using my herc sr71 and now the blue light stays on all the time. It won't heat the herc. it was great for the first two weeks that it worked.

Did it include instructions that say to fill it the way you did? My initial impression of the kiss mini was that you load as you go, not full it up (as with the regular kiss carts). If that's how it's supposed to be, then I might pick me up a couple.
