Yeah, I just tossed into plastic container with 90% ISO & some table salt , soak, shake, shake, soak, shake, rinse w/ hot water, blow w/mouth, let air dry. Quick dry burn . Load & Go. Almost like new, wicks still little dark, but mostly clean / white cup inside. Probably could've done better with overnight soak, but was in hurry, took only 1/2 hour or so.:2c:

Yeah, 3-5 days is extreme overkill. 99% iso evaporates almost immediately at room temperature, so anything more than a few hours at most is pretty unnecessary. Even 90% should be good to go within a few hours tops.

thx 4 all the kiss globe advice :) ----- I started cleaning again n dropped n crake the globe :( lucky i found an oem that happened to be in last year broken parts n it fits perfect --

but i wanna test the cleaning of cart -- ( i have noticed it taking extra power to push it sometimes but it could just b me -- time 4 sum tests :)

Yeah that is true, and I don't really do that out of a feeling of necessity. Usually it takes a little over a week for my cart to get to the point where I want to clean it (specially the globe carts stay much cleaner). So the other cart just mellows out during that time. However I have noticed that there seems to be more "off gassing" when I get around to dry burning the cart if it has sit less than 24 hours and almost none after say 3 days.

While true I feel that a certain amount of iso gets trapped within the ceramic of the wick and this will take longer to work it's way out into the air. That is just my experience though.

The Core is awesome with the Bender. I have been heating up at 8 volts and dialing down to the high 6 volt, low 7 volt range. It's keeping me from burning my herb as I figure out how to Bend properly

So as someone with a persei coming this week... should I get the SR71 while its up, or get an SR74 somewhere else? I kind of understand how the SR74 assembles thanks to the video on youtube. I just don't know the difference between the 2.

For $70 it seems like a good deal, but what changed in the 74? Will I be able to rebuild the 71 just as easily? I'm pretty broke so really not trying to spend a fortune, but I need something to take the place of my cera. I've got the persei coming, the charger, 18350s (2 AW 2 non-AW) and now I just need the final cartridge to finish building my replacement.

The SR71 seems discontinued, so IDK if it is something I can keep rebuilding as easily as the new model? I just really want to get started without wasting my money.

i think I'm gunna snag the 71 just to have part of history :)

@darkrom -- i feel u -- I have the SR74 x and it is the perfect item to pair with the Persei (I hope u got the CORE as well and if not I highly recommend getting the CORE b4 you get the 71 ----- -- IMO -- you should get the HURC 74x and the CORE !!!!

i am still trying to see about the 71 --- I want it but I'm not really sure about it -- I'm not really sure what the differences really truly are -- i have no 71 experience


but 2 months with the sr74 has completely changed the entire experience ---- it doesn't compare to anything else !!!!!!!!!!! in the most positive way ! if the 71 adds to that or is a nice sub ? well than I want it too :)

The core is something I may get some day. The thing is I have a vapexhale cloud with their e-nail that I can use for convection oil hits at home. Plus I love the torch sometimes when I'm feeling impatient. I really only need this device when I'm out and about. If I fall in love with it who knows, maybe.

I just don't want to buy one cart and then need the other. It is still a lot of money to me at this point for either, so I want to make it count. Where can you buy a 74 new in the USA anyway? W9 is out of stock.

Isn't planet vape canada?

I will try out the EO carts that come with the persei V1 I ordered. Any tips since you seem to be one of the last few using them lol?

I have good concentrate. How much should I put into an EO cart to try it out, 1/4 gram or so? Just load it into the filler and heat GENTLY with a torch and try to get it to run into the cart right?

I agree with @THE KISS FREAK

I would grab a few EO carts --- they r just great ----- even if u go with a different type with 601 adapter ( i use the 601 adapter with a seego glacier or wize essential oil cart which is essentially the same as w9's ---- w9 is always best if u can do that --- ) but for on the go I use a short 3.7 persei with the seego glacier ontop or kiss cart (for Load as u go -- or the OIL carts for the entire day !!!!! )

that short stack is solo perfect n low key! 4 on the go --- so very essential ----- a small silver cart coming out the top for entire day is too perfect ! (i put a photo of setup a few pages bak )


NOT last ones using ----- they will always be used -- sometimes they r the best when used right ---- (nothing beats hurc when u have space and time ) but those old oil carts r used by many n recommended certainly by myself n friends :) i think the only reason I stopped using so much is the added up cost if they burn out ….. especially when I began with the gentleman ones -- i won't get started since i had bad luk with those -- i loved them but went through too qwik -- burn outs

Hey guys. Quick question. The Hercules sr-74 starts to taste like burnt material/metallic even with new wax added in. I have a feeling that I need to clean out the bottom chamber of reclaim. But then is that reclaim any good to cape again? Also what method would be the best to reclaim it?

dam really

i thought the hercules was supposed to be top of the line...and it tastes like metal?? wtf, the exact reason i dumped the omicron and the omicron carts, and the dabbler ect...

not good news...i was hoping for a piece of equipment that was advertised as medical grade ect...

good thing i bought from a place with a return policy

Two possibilities if your Herc is tasting metallic. First possibility is that the coil has moved up in the chamber. Try pushing it down with a toothpick. Make sure that the rod is sticking out of the top of the coil.
The other possibility is that it is HUNGRY for more of your oil!
