I've been toying with the idea of making my own with everclear or ISO but I just moved into an apartment would it be safe?
While ISO, Everclear and KX, are all flammable liquids. There is much less danger than doing BHO indoors (not an option). If you are using these indoors be sure to have plenty of ventilation and a window open, if possible. SAFETY FIRST!

Sure! Just follow some simple common sense rules...use proper ventilation and place dish in a flame free zone. Now, I would never recommend use of butane indoors, but EC/ISO should be pretty safe. I think people run into trouble when impatience sets in and they get 'creative' with speeding up the process by applying unnecessary heat. If heat is applied...do so in an intelligent manner, but I warn you, there are additional risks and the smell can increase considerably.

If you evap outside, put some sort of screen/cheesecloth over your dish to protect your gold. It's never any fun to find pet hair and insect parts in your oil = )
I personally evap my oil using the exhaust fan off my lovely ladies. EC is completely evaporated in several hours.

Picking up nibbler from usps this am for a road trip, lucky timing! As for the ethanol/iso wash, if you can find it, spirytus polish vodka is 192 to 196 proof and worked better than 99% iso. Difference is flavor, and ive had iso washes turn to clay(maybe someone else has the expertise to explain?) Bur really like ethanol. Freeze everything at the lowest setting in freezer before you try washing it to keep the chlorophyl from leaching, thats the hardest part of alc washes.
I have cheap easy access to everclear witch is 99% ethanol I've read about doing qwet runs and dehydrating and freezing the herb beforehand I'm just not sure how much everclear to use and how long it would take to evap

Fill equal with container... so mason jar full of leaf, fill around cracks just to top of leaf. At that point i dont agitate just put it back in the freezer checkin every couple min to watch it change colors... i let it get slightly, and i mean so slightly, green. Then wire strain, then coffee filter, then evap in pan in oven @ 120 to 150, shouldnt be more than 2 hours without a fan at mason jar amount.
Edit: let it sit in the sun initially for a few after filtering, sun will break down chlor that getsleeched. Will turn slightly red but no chlor taste

Wait the ethanol won't ignite in the oven? I thought the danger if the solvents was their quick to flash ignite?

Never had issue with alc igniting in the oven... at least not in mason jar amount... if youre concered, boil the largest pot you have and just let your pan sit over it. After turning flame off. Theres a good vid on youtube thats about winterizing, but the finish is the same...
I think I'm gonna have to try making my own it's too frustrating tryna find it in my area New Jersey sucks lol

EC is 95%. Not 99%.
Yea I wasn't sure I'm at work so couldent check the bottle but I've got it on hand the highest proof one not the 150 proof some places have

If you put the fan to blow over the pan and then out the window youll cut time down considerably.

Hard to say. 99% of the time I use the Herc, I use the Nibbler.
with for sure. I can probably take 4-5x as long of a hit when using the nibbler

I'd recommend looking into the 8 instead of the Persei. It should last you several lifetimes.... Plus it will allow you to experiment with different carts from different companies if you so desire. And it comes with a 18350 tube!
