So what batteries are best for the Herc?
As I said twice, the AW branded 18350s are the ones you want.
So what batteries are best for the Herc?
Yes I know I use my Omicron HVD at 7.4v with the Core. It works excellent, like a baby Persei. What battery configuration works at 7.4v with the Omicron HVD. The SS kit tubes cannot be stacked like the Persei. You can run the omicron at 7.4v if you have the hvd top and two small batteries.
AW brand. They have them on w9 website...So what batteries are best for the Herc?
No. If you use the white rod with flowers it'll most likely burn. You can add a screen onto of the rod and coil with the white rod to vape both oil and flowers at the same time. (It's called fractional something) basically you vape the oil first and the heat and vapor from the oil travels up the path vaporizing the herbs in the process. Can be quite messy though...Also, If I try some flower through it, I assume I'll need the White Rod at 23W...or does it come with that?
Two small batteries, long tube, and the bottom with the spring. I use it with the 5.0 ohm essential oil carts, but not tried it with the Hercules.Yes I know I use my Omicron HVD at 7.4v with the Core. It works excellent, like a baby Persei. W9 still doing their 20% off sale tho?

yup which comes out to $7.16
yup which comes out to $7.16
as for the Omicron 7.4v edition thats not going to work on the hercules unless you run the Core
$13.40/ea with shipping+handling+tax (including $1.79 discount)
RTDVapor has flat rate $2.99, but im sure it take a couple days longer.
If you are impatient, get it from W9, its usually at your door in a couple days.
Guess what, I just placed a nice order with you and didn't use the damn coupon....can I still slip it in there somewhere?yup which comes out to $7.16

@Mynameismud in the resident expert on 3.7v rod IMHO.
I have never tried it, haven't made qwiso since way before I got the herc. Also have never tried with keif. The oil lasts a lot longer with the black rod and I usually get better results with the black rod when there's like a pool of oil on top instead of all absorbed in so I'm not sure how we'll it will work.@Mynameismud consider yourself joined on the 3.7v rod front. I am gonna do it. If I can get a herc 3.7 to extract clouds from qwiso mixed thoroughly with super high grade kief, then I will be stoked.
Do you think this is a feasible plan? I do have major experience in various electrical engineering/technical roles from over the years, so fiddling is no concern at all
AW brand. They have them on w9 website...
1-18650 for 3.7V use (I use the 2000mah battery)
1-18350 700mah for SS tube and 3.7V use
2-18350s stacked for 7.4V use

For straight flowers you need a black rod and no coil. It's very difficult to get consistent results... I finall got my hands on an iris though I plan on immediately running the black rod at 4.0-4.2V to see if it works any better/easier ill report my findings this weekend hopefully
I'm still using my 74 white rod, but I have an iris on the way hopefully should be here by weekend. I immediately plan on cleaning out the herc and switching back to the black rod which is the first thing I wanna try with the iris. I can try some kief and wax then and see how it does if you don't mind waiting a few days
I spoke to G about it, he said to use the black rod with 2-18350 batteries(7.4V) and then dial the power down to 4.0V, 4.2V being the max for it.Be careful with a black rod on the Iris. It's only 0.8 ohms. The Iris may just read "Lo" but if it does power it you would be drawing 5 amps at 4 volts (=20 watts). I think 5 amps is the limit for the Iris? So you wouldn't want to go much higher in voltage. But, if this is a v1 Iris you're getting, be aware of it's flaw that allows the full voltage to blast out sometimes. This behavior could blow the Iris up because of the excessive current demand from the black rod. I think your best bet is to put a white rod in the Herc and dial the power down with the Iris to what you need.
Good luck. I'll be interested in hearing your impressions of the Iris. I really miss mine .

True forgot about that. But the person asking was asking for their new Persei they just purchased. Also not really a fan of that big a devicemud, what about the (2)18650(s) providing 7.4v mega bat- w/ ss

You wouldn't recommend doing that?
And I am aware of the "flaw" it's when you go to turn the iris completely off and click it 5 times right? Or does it happen other times too?
