Found a home for my new Persei. Original foam inserts from the Persei box fit like glove. Nice and sturdy carrying case. Add a little lock even better. Room for expansion for some of those other Persei toys to come:

Has anyone tried stacking two Ti coils? Results?

I always have 2 Ti coils in my SR74 :), and never try only one !
For me, very good results, but I have to compare with only one next time I loaded it (1 gram lasts me about 3/4 weeks)
Is it okay with 1 Ti coil ? How much do you load with 1 Ti coil ?

I only use one TI coil, because it heats up so much faster that way. Once the coil is saturated, I just add .25 each day when the coil starts to show. I am really careful about cooldowns, and I rarely get leaks this way (never enough to short out in the bottom chamber so far).

Before bed I keep the PERSEI in the night stand drawer. This is the most effective device I own! (2.4 cart).

This week a K.I.S.S. cart and by the week-end back to a single coil HERCULES!

i have been using my new sr7437 (3.7v black rod) for about five weeks now. started with the 7.4v rod, but now only have been using the 3.7 the taste is excellent, better concentrate consumption and no burning of oil. priming/ heat up is not noticeably different, and i am getting the same dense vapor production as i did using the 7.4v rod. this cart is so so so far superior to the original carts- although, the original carts were obviously much more stealth and definately much much more efficient wit the meds.

Just wanted to pop in and share a recent experience with the Persei & the SR-71. I had six hours left in a lengthy road trip and it stopped functioning, so I stripped off the bottom insulator and the sleeve to eliminate that as a potential failure point. No go. As soon as the cart was screwed onto the Persei the light would dim and then shut off when pressed. I had never seen this before. Turned out one of the stock 18350's died and this was the result of the "dim to blank" button light. I did not realize this until I attempted to charge the two cells and one would display as a blinking set of 3 full lights or entirely blank in the slot on an i4 charger. So I scooped two new sets of batteries yesterday, adjusted the spring plate and loaded them in a rebuilt and iso soaked SR-71 and fired it up, immediate glow to burn off the black, good as new! I've been in love with this since picking it up and it was great to see the only actual failure so far was due to a cell going bad after all that usage. Similarly I searched the thread for "dim" and saw no results so this will now be there for anyone else observing such a symptom. Cheers and happy vaping everyone!

Other than assembly id say 99% of the time it's your batteries. I can't tell you how many times this has happened to me lol!

Thank you this inspired me to try out my black rod again. I hooked it up to my hammer/core combo at 4v and with a little warm up I had a huge success with huge clouds!!!!

i think gary said the 71 can use the 74 rods but 74 cant use the 71 rods

Pretty sure thats whites only, because the old white will wreck the 74. I think the blacks are the same.
I have two full 71 setups and 2 full 74 setups- I mostly use black at 3.7 and I dont notice any difference between the black rods. One of my 74s has an old black rod from October in it.

trying to fix the rod availability on the site atm

Edit.

@Patrick Hughes Rods are up for purchase now.

Ok to put a rest to the convo about the rods fitting what here it goes.

The Sr71 rods can not work with the SR 74 bottom adapter and center post. So this means they will not work at all.

The SR74 rods have the necessary contact points to work with both units.

The SR74 has two locations that are spring loaded and the 71 rods do not have the contact points for the center post to properly work.

Is there any other difference between the sr71 black rod and the sr74 black rod except the contact points?

My black rod worked on my 74 center post and my black rod came from my 71. I removed immediately after reading it's not suppose to work. But it did work.. ?
