The OPHOS is my boating friend a very nice pocket unit!Yes we are in stock on the ophos !
I was thinking it could be the little spring contact. Can oil possibly get down into that area? It was a concern i had watching the video of the Sr74. My first thought was teh 71 without the spring would be a more reliable unit.
Hm thats weird, does anything else work on it? Hercules, kiss? Whats it doing? I have one of the new prototype tops here, it works fine with my hercules. But am having major issues with the kiss cart at the momentWhy does a 2.4 cart work perfectly fine with a OMICRON or OPHOS however not the PERSEI?
Might be my favorite post ever.Awesome!!
Original owners of a 71 are like guys with old classic cars stored away in a garage!!
Edit:
(Johnny was a race car driver)
With a 420 sticker on a herc 71 he'd light um up just for fun!!!
Finally ordered my Persei. Pretty hard to communicate with them, not sure why they dont like using email. Can I buy just the Persei head unit? If so how much does it cost? It seems that with buying the SS kit and the Core you could have multiple units if you had another couple heads.
Im also trying to decide what accessories I should get next and what order. Already ordered the SR 74, 3.7 - 7.4 kiss carts, and the SS kit. Which upgrade would you go for next?
Bender
The Core
Okeanos Bubbler
Nibbler XL
@THC SCIENTIFIC two questions my friend...
1. How's that desktop vape coming? I'm waiting patiently over here mah dude. Heh.
And
2. How are the Triton and Iris v.2 coming along? Any estimated release dates? Still testing?
=)
I'm at a loss?If your talking about the spring in the centerpost that holds the bottom of the rod, yes oil can get in that if your not careful with cooling it down, storing it, or overload it. I kept my SR71, i really love the design, its simpler then it looks and have not had issues with it since i first got it and had to trouble shoot with G. I occasionally have to tweak the bottom adapter with a screw driver but never having downtime is a great compromise for occasionally having to turn a screw. I know the SR74 is basically the same but id rather keep my Big boy unit.

One uses 3.7v (one battery) the other uses two 7.4v and is stronger/hotter.I'm at a loss?
The K.I.S.S. comes in a 3.7 and a 7.4? (it might be called a 5.0?)
How are they different?
Both are T2 wire?
The batteries are different however what is the difference in the actual K.I.S.S. cart? One uses 3.7v (one battery) the other uses two 7.4v and is stronger/hotter.
The 7.4v are easier to burn out, think 5 ohm cart. The 3.7v are idiot proof for the most part. Think 2.4 cart. One hits like a beast, rhe other hits like a beast on crack (7.4). Also some people feel there is better taste at 3.7v, but I do not find this to be the case unless maybe you are a button rider. The batteries are different however what is the difference in the actual K.I.S.S. cart?
Why is there a choice?
Slow poke. That being said, (IMO) the old style carts are garbage compared to the KISS and Hercules and I personally wouldn't bother with those.
@ataxian
A. Yes I know you like the old skool 2.4 carts. I still dislike them.
B. W9 offers the 7.4v KISS cart for cloud chasers. You sacrifice some flavor for more instant and larger clouds. You also sacrifice longtivity as the 7.4s seem to burn out much quicker.
