I think we should clear any confusion before people start moping up double-top kits on ebay
The alternative I'm looking at is just using 2.4s and 1.5s... The 1.5s with a voltage bump are near the 5.0s at 7.2v and the 2.4s are as well around 5v using the core. Maybe reserve the higher voltages for the newer srsbsns toys instead of the carts from now on?
I agree it's something we should understand.
While the suggested 'work around' might cover some cases (might even cover all cases an individual might currently be interested in), it does not do so for all I think. For sure, this used to be a
feature of Persei. An ability promoted in advertising and used by some of us. I personally never liked 7.4 Volts as the power was higher than I wanted and drops quickly. RCR123As fix this, both aspects. Or did.
Bottom line is it's a feature that has been eliminated in the 'improved' replacement. This is the first we've heard of it I think all the documentation out that is now no longer accurate should be corrected or removed, as of right now it's advertising features that no longer exist.
I see this is a problem created in the process of addressing other issues. I too agree, sny change to rectify it should rightly be called a "fix" as well. FWIW.
Regards and Merry Christmas to all.
