In what ways? Cool down hits?
You have to remember the heater is a 14 watt Titanium/SiC Hybrid. It is about 120% more powerful then standard nichrome heaters found on tanks these days.
This creates more heat when powered, necessary to power the heater for clean tasting hits but the drawback is the heat that is left, so cold draws to cool it down help make the oil thicker to prevent it from free flowing into the vaporization chamber.
I've ordered some terpenes to experiment with. I plan to use them to thin out some clean and stable shatter I have.
How do I know if my oil will produce pressure when terpenes are added? Is there some sort of general rule, or do you just have to experiment? Been trying to catch up with this thread the past day or two and remember someone (probably you?) recommending letting the terp mix sit for a day or two to fully equalize. Or at least burp the Trinity if filled immediately.
Is there anything else that can be done to alleviate possible pressure and leaks?
I haven't mixed up my terps and concentrate yet, so I can make it whatever consistency you recommend. I planned to start low, with a very viscous liquid. That way at warmer temps it doesn't become too thin and runny. Would you recommend starting with just 1 or 2 drops per gram?
The tank won't always be at such high possible temps, but they are always an option. An outdoor summer concert, with the tank in my pocket, I'm sure that get's pretty warm.
Yes, definitely willing to do what's needed if I can have a leak proof and discreet option.
Appreciate the help.
I would recommend starting from 2 drops per gram mix well and add another drop or two if needed.
Then let the concentrate sit a few days and mix in between again to get rid of the pressure it builds up. Believe me some people mix it and add to tank and it works great some do the same steps creates pressure in the jar and tank.
The one thing i can say is make sure it does not produce bubbles.
We test our tanks with ejuice and they dont leak but thats at room temperature max at 80F. But there is a trick to reducing any unwanted leaks.
You should start inhaling right before you press the button, and keep inhaling even after you let go of the button.
Allow some time between hits for the Heater to absorb more oil, at same time take a few cold hits to cool it down.
Rinse repeat and once done do a couple of long cold inhales to cool things down and your good to go.
Depending on where you are day temps, and how long you used will dictate how much you need to cool down.
