Mine fit together. The SS kits come in 2 slightly different sizes; one matched up perfectly with my Persei and hammer, one was maybe 1mm thinner in outer diameter (so .5mm all around, but noticeable to the touch). The one that fit flush had jacked up threads

I didn't actually fire my 8 with the Persei ss kit but I did test fit it for 2x18650 and the threads fit fine shouldn't be a problem

Everything from my understanding and personal experience is compatible. Even screwing the core insert into the 8 head should work. This issue is just one of aesthetics as the tube colors won't match. @SamuraiSam can confirm.
It looks like some kind of Frankenstein vape haha. Please @THC SCIENTIFIC give us a brushed aluminum SS kit!

Everything does fit (ish) but... Check the treads on your SS kit BEFORE you screw it on, and if they don't look perfect, DO NOT SCREW IT ON. The one I mentioned with ragged threads tore up one of my tops, because the threads are aluminum and easily damaged.
The other one I purchased has immaculate threads and plays nicely with everything.

You really shouldn't go mixing metals.
Threading aluminum onto Stainless is a good way to cause galling, which can result in the parts becoming friction welded together. You run the risk of never being able to separate them. If you are okay with that, go for it.

I dreamed last night that I'd find an Iris someday so I had an excuse to pick up one of those Chrome Persei. Something is seriously wrong with me.
@Krazzykid good point. Dissimilar metals can indeed gall. If any amount of force was being transmitted through the threading I might be concerned. The mechanic and technician in me raised an eyebrow when I first (gingerly) tried my 8 top on the Core. However, I've had no issues so far (knock on wood) and have mixed and matched a few things a few times now. I'd rather have me experiment and break something than one of you guys.
