I think he'll pull through, I'll even give him March-May.
I donā€™t know. The most recent communique said *shipping* ā€œMarch at the latestā€ and we havenā€™t even seen the final photo update, now overdue by at least a month.

I hear ya, but the final photo update should be of basically completed units; so here's to hoping both come not long after one another.

I have KCD2 now to play so that'll take my mind off things a bit.

My Halloween estimate is the optimistic one. If you want my real down to earth opinion, we're probably not going to see this in 2025.

Day Vaper,

Extremely possible. To be honest, Dan's estimates are completely meaningless. He was telling me mine would be done in a few months back in January 2022. I have a little bit of hope we could see them this year since he seems adamant about being close to the finish line. But I don't know.

I wonder what we'll see first, GTA6 or Batch 2?

Do you think weā€™ll see more Toads before either of those?

Yesterday, I came back from a metal concert. I settled in comfortably to enjoy my Nomad 2.
I had a nice session. I wasn't too attentive but it lacked a bit of power. I had to insist a bit to get satisfaction. In the end, it wasn't so bad
I let less than 10 minutes go by and I recharged a stem. No result. The radiator didn't even activate. I checked everything a bit.
And then the radiator was stuck. Impossible to get it out. I could have had trouble removing it before, but now it became impossible.

My previous stem must have been effective because what follows is the very brief account of one of the rare moments when I completely put my brain on the table.

As it was totally blocked by the "normal" side, I decided to push the grids with a metal rod and push the radiator with the flat end of a brush.
but of course, I destroyed the radiator doing that... it was obvious that I could do better... but I had to "free" my Nomad immediately...

my tools are 5 meters from where I was... but... my brain was no longer there...!

anyway... I was talking to Dan recently about an add-on order... so I'm good to add a heater!

but then, it's strange how everything was working... and 5 minutes later, nothing was working anymore!
my hypothesis is that the heat from the previous session caused a tiny variation in the dryness and shape of the wood... which caused the electrical circuit to break in one place...
this hypothesis is reinforced by the fact that the radiator was completely blocked after...

anyway... I'm just sharing one of my rare problems with the Nomad...

i think i'll sand down a bit all the parts where the batteries and heaters are inserted...
it's a lot of work, but at least my mind will be at peace after that!

Here are a picture or three of the damaged radiator...
i might make a keychain or a pendant out of it, like the bullets on a chain. just kidding! no pendant... but i'll try to recycle it somehow!

More cool pics coming soon!
Happy vaping everyone!

Well... I never break anything...:hmm:
This is not my week...
it was one of my 2 favorite stems...

Ouch. That is terrible I am sorry that happened. It looked like a good one too. Where did you get it? Is that from Good Vibes?

@Dr. G

oh I was really too sad... I just ordered its replacement...

the craftsman is Andrew from High Artisan.

i bought a stem that was produced in the same series/drop as the one I just broke, with the same colors but a little more red.
and the tip is "special"
i don't think there will be many like that.

it's a clumsiness that costs me dearly!

So...High Artisan is fantastic...it cost you a pretty penny. I guess just throw it out and don't think about it anymore. Get yourself a new one! Cheers!

What annoys me about all this is not that there are delays, I can understand those, it's just the lack of communication. It would be nice to know, for example, why the family photo has been delayed and what's going on. It would be great to have an idea of how close we actually are to the finish line (like concretely, what is there left to do?).

I'm getting a bit antsy after waiting for this for nearly 5 years. It seems we are so close, but still so far away... It would be nice to just have regular updates telling us exactly what's going on. When we got that update in january I was briefly hopeful about actually getting this Nomad II before summer '25, but at this point I'm not even sure if it's going to happen in 2025 at all.

I'm about to throw in the towel with this batch 2 Nomad II. I've been getting told that the finish line is "right around the corner" since early 2022, with nothing to show for it since then. How do we know that this time is actually the time?

I'm pretty certain we will not see Nomads this year and are this point I'm starting to doubt if these Nomads exist at all. This is all very frustrating.

If there has been no proof of life for this batch by March 1, I am all the way out.
I mean no bad juju to Dan at all. I am certain he will be able to recoup the $750 from a different buyer should my
Nomad II ever see the light of day.

I see no point in canceling a batch 2 order at this point unless you absolutely need the money ASAP.

If you're that mad about it, could always just resell the device for literal thousands, as other have already done; I feel like that's more of an f you to Dan than canceling.

On the other hand, I also think that Dan should auction off any cancelled device himself to the highest bidder.

Really? Thousands? I kind of hate that, it seems like cutting the line to me, just buying your way out of the wait. Iā€™m not interested in saying fu to Dan. He does amazing work, which is why we got ourselves into this predicament in the first place. Iā€™m just wondering how long itā€™ll take for the bad taste in my mouth to go away. I donā€™t think itā€™ll be as soon as I get olā€™ number 42.

I'm not entirely convinced the batch 2 Nomads exist at all at this point if I'm being honest. We need to be thrown some kind of bone soon... A family photo, even if some units are not entirely finished, would go a long way in keeping us waiting patiently. That's all I'm asking for, because right now, I can't be sure that my Nomad is ever going to ship.

I'll try to wait it out until March, but after that, if it's still radio silence, I'll probably ask for a refund rather than wait until I'm 6 ft underground before receiving this vape.

Yeah Iā€™ll never see a Nomad because my name will never come up. Iā€™ll also never pay thousands for one either. But this is not cutting the line or buying oneā€™s way out of the wait. Simple Economics 101, supply and demand playing out in a capitalist system. No?
