@VaporWare , I've tested the A. blackwood heater module caps with an ISO soak as well. It came out just fine, but it does strip the natural oils from the wood, so I'd recommend re-oiling the wood with a little neutral, food safe, oil if you go this route.
A better way would be to soak just the tip of the heater in ISO. If you have acetone it's better. And don't leave it too long in there. That way the wood will never get exposed to moisture or the stripping qualities of the solvents. Acetone vapor will have some effect though, which is why I recommend a quick soak.
Also, you'd want to keep an eye on it and make sure your allen key is handy to make any adjustments in case the wood moves after soaking. Soaking in ISO is probably the harshest thing you can do to wood, but blackwood seems to handle just about anything I throw at it, ahah!
