Dan’s making them in batches of about 30. Batch 3 is shipping right now as they’re being completed (some of the more complicated ones aren’t done yet), and I believe Batch 4 has already been contacted so he can get started on the first steps for them.

That means everyone else will have to wait a while, but I’m confident it’s going to be worth the wait!

Edit: To clarify, unless he’s doing a couple for friends or something we haven’t heard about, these are all from the waiting list.

Hi all, someone suggested a case for the Firewood 6 in its respective thread. The FW6 and Nomad have basically the same footprint once you take into account the Nomad's glass stem so of course I had to try it out:

There is a little bit of a gap on the sides but when closed, everything is snug. This will do well for when I take mine out of the house. I plan on using the case this weekend. Note that the other side doesn't leave much room for anything if you want to close the lid on the case. I was able to fit a Vortex stem and double flame honest torch without issues in closing.

Also, as a lurker myself I imagine that there are quite a few folks who pop in to take a look at Nomad porn pics. That said, I feel like it could be helpful for those who have not yet had the opportunity to try one to know that the Nomad's aesthetics are only rivaled by its design and performance. Its very effective and I use mine regularly (only after getting over touching this beauty with my grubby hands).

It is my favorite portable and a large large part of that is due to its performance and size. If you like the unregulated feel of a Milaana/LB or a 510 mod vape on wattage mode, this will be right down your alley. The difference between the Nomad and many other portable convection vapes would be that it can very effectively micro dose, extremely small form factor (only my FW6 compares), has a robust/durable build, good battery life and a very very clean airpath. Those who are more particular about materials used will be especially pleased with Dan's approach. The design is so simple but yet incredibly effective.

Also, don't let the wait list and ability to fully customize scare you. There must be at least a hundred different sleeve patterns that you can choose from at the base price of $300. I have literally never seen a single Nomad that I wouldn't have gladly purchased off-the-shelf. The fact that it works brilliantly was the cherry on top. This said, there is a slight learning curve that comes with the Nomad (like most full convection portables) but once you get the hang of it, I can easily see this becoming a daily driver.

The one thing that I have noticed is that the flavor seems to be maintained deeper into the session with the Nomad vs my other convection options. Even on the 3rd or 4th draw, I am still getting nice flavor. I can go on but this wasn't intended as full write-up as I just wanted to let folks know that there is more to the Nomad than just its good looks. If you're lurking and have question, please feel free to ask in this thread (you can DM me directly too). Or just get on Dan's list and you can thank yourself later (from what I understand, Dan has made improvements in the work flow so the traditional 1 year wait may be going away soon).

Also, as an update, I had a chance to discuss cooling stems with Dave at Mistvape recently. I believe he will be making a derivative of his Imp cooling stem with wooden mouthpiece. It just so happens that the Imp stem actually fits perfectly into the Nomad.

The issue however is that the o-rings are visible when the stem is inserted but thankfully this is an easy fix for Dave. Dave now has what he needs to get going on this project. This said, I also know that he always has his hands full. So if you want something from him along these lines, perhaps consider reaching out to him so he knows his time won't be spent in vain.

Ok...can we get more pics, please?
