Where is the waiting list for this beauty? I have yet to read the thread in full, but I know I want one! Thank you!

Anyhow, If you'd like to send it in for a re-wrap and a thicker protective finish, I'd be happy to do that for ya. If memory serves me, you'd be OK with covering the texture of the paper, and replacing it with a smooth finish?
Thank you for the heater! I tried to grind tobacco with my SLX and knives but I did not like the taste changes. Grinding leads to many new juice leakages from new cuts of the leafs. Then everything goes through the roof - taste, flavor, nic. I prefer fine cut tobacco blends and my preparation method reduces them further. So I am OK with final product with no grinding.@Xelatsok, I will send you a new heater module free of charge with the newer design to avoid that issue you had.
Interesting observations about the steel herb chamber. You would think that it would add conduction... but I guess not! I love when real-world tests give a different result than expected.
Do you chop up your tobacco leaf? If not, try it with a super fine chop with scissors, and then sift through a flour sifter or kitchen strainer to separate the grind and make it more consistent in size. I find that with tobacco, this definitely gives an insane boost in performance.
Oh my...this is the beginning of the end! Tonight while I was at home, I grabbed and loaded the Nomad instead of the Zion...
No other vape managed to make me do that. I use the Zion as a desktop vape with a power adapter and all my other portables only when I'm away.

Anybody have abv shots? Can you get your botanicals to that dark coffee brown, on the verge of combustion easily?
@wild anchovy , You must have bugged my sketchbooks, because it sounds like you've got inside information, hahah.
While that design is something I've been developing, there are a couple functional problems that I haven't quite figured out yet.
In any case, I can add ya to the waitlist. I'll shoot over a PM.
Great minds think alike!@wild anchovy , You must have bugged my sketchbooks, because it sounds like you've got inside information, hahah.
I bet you the scoop n stir from delta3dstudios would work. I’ve had mine for years originally for the enano but it comes in handy very often. So I've been using my Nomad more and more over the past few weeks and I've been thinking about what my biggest inconvenience with the unit has been so far, and that has been stirring. Now the unit really doesn't require a stir for good extraction but it's nice to give the bowl a little stir at the end of it's life to get an extra hit or two out of it.
This got me to thinking about my mistvape touch vaporizer and the stir collar accessory I have for it. That thing is a godsend for stirring your bowl, I would love to get some kind of similar stir collar for my nomad to minimize spillage when stirring.

I'm talking more of a stir collar and not a stir tool, which is something that would fit snug onto the stem and make it so herb doesn't fall out the top of the stem when you're stirring. Here's a picture of the MVT collar showing what I'm talking about. You can see it goes on the top of the stem to make stirring less messy. Something just like that but made to fit the dimensions of the Nomad stem would be absolutely amazing.

@sixstringsmash , Ouuuh! I like that idea.
Are you using the single body screen, with single stem screen? If yes, then I could see that little wood accessory coming in handy.
If you use the double screen method, I pack juuust loose enough so that the herb is free to move around slightly between the two screens, just ever so slight. I don't normally stir or shake, but if you like to, then this method allows you to shake the stem to "stir" the herb. Just a different method to reach the same result I suppose.
@KeroZen Had a good tip about using your pinky finger to take out the second stem screen (if you want to use two). I use this method as well... but if you don't have a small pinky, or fingernails..well.. could be tough.
In any case, that little wooden stir collar would be a sinch to make, I'll make ya one if you like!
