Considering getting the Mighty from Amazon but concerned it may not be a legit unit or there may be problems.

It seems pretty legit but just wanted to see if anyone here had heard of the seller or had any experiences with buying the Mighty from Amazon.

I'm a US guy so can't speak to that. Have you reached out to Puff it Up and asked Randy if he ships overseas (and can meet/beat the price)?

What I've found with the overseas guys, is it's usually the original manufacturer of the product selling it without the extended warranty. You'll get a 1 year manufactor warranty vs a 3 year warranty.

Ok, I've read 99% of this thread, and I wish accessories had their own threads (did I miss one for the dosing capsules?) but I'm still thinking I'm missing something with these.

I bought 2 dispensers and an additional 40 capsules so I have 56 in total. I find them to be extremely convenient, but I loose so much flavor!

I've tried with and without pads, light pack, firm pack, no pack, full, 1/2 full and I seem to get the same results give or take.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Still loving the Mighty, but finding myself using my pax2 for car trips because of convenience.

Healthy green all,

MT
Maybe try a little higher temp when using the capsules? Or lower? (I prefer higher lately). If strain is the same, results should be very close to same with or without capsules. I think flavor may actually be a little better with caps, given the tendency to act more like convection vape when using caps.
If caps are dialed in, I find Mighty with caps a little more convenient than having to load Pax2 while driving.

I have figured out part of it, and it's a typical stoners problem, go figure.

About a week before I got my caps, I had some friends over and was showing them my new CVaults and how I used to just use mason jars with Boveda packs. We were talking about the three strains I have left, which is actually two strains with one of them being cured two different ways, water or traditional. Seems we got some of the stuff moved around and what I was vaping that night was the water cured.

Well, the water cured bud accounts for some of it. The other part was the capsules themselves. I did give them a quick iso rinse when I got them, but not much of one. I have found after they've been washed and used a few times, I don't get the harsh feeling/taste I once did. Now I take them apart, empty and throw them into iso to sit until I need to reload. I figure they're aluminum and the iso won't hurt them at all, at least not in the time frame between loss or replacement.

I've had the opportunity this weekend to test extensively and I think using the caps is pretty close to native, but I still think I'm loosing just a bit of flavor and the vapor is a little thinner. They're very convenient and not going anywhere, but they're a fair bit of work to load many at a time. Has anyone found a great way they're doing it? I'm just scooping them into my grinder and packing. It's actually pretty consistent, I weighed the first few batches and all were close enough to not consider it.

The Pax2 and Mighty make a great combo, especially on the road! Everything in a small camera case except the Mighty and I can last for almost three days w/out plugging in!

Guess I've rambled a bit here, a cup a coffee and a smooth bowl on the porch with the laptop, all coupled with not having been on here for a while makes for a comfortable morning.

Healthy green all,

MT

I would prefer to use one of the "tried-and-trusted" shops and perhaps send them a mail regarding the Price...

Have a look at:
Vaposhop
Vapefiend
verdampftnochmal.de
and Storz & Bickel direct

the Mighty is a Vape where there ARE Chances, that you need to send it in and most Users get very good Customer Service so for me personally it would give me a little bit more peace of Mind.

Hi @MonkeyTime -
I use a rolling tray with a slot, push material into capsule sideways.
Pretty easy, kinda fun.

But maybe @Ratchett could print up something like this:

45K7PBim.jpg

I call it the "Doser Dozer"
Bulldozer like action, sweeping across top with card as herb falls into cap bases.

Thin removable top sheet, thickness of capsule lid.
After bulldozing and capsules are full, remove top thin sheet.
Now place lids on capsules.
Invert tray to dump out finished product.

Now we're almost ready for a new post in "Products that make you go ... hmmm"

Yeah for sure I could make something like that, I actually have a few ideas. Although I currently don't have any of those new capsules to take measurements and test-fit things

..following on from above..

could you get a spare magazine lid
then you drill 8 holes - above the 8 fixed caps positions
then turn it upsidedown ..
so now you have a round trough with 8 holes in the bottom
that will be directly above 8 caps in lower half of magazine

so you fit 8 empty capsule bases into 8 slots in lower half of magazine

then balance upsidedown lid (with 8 holes) on top of caps locked in lower half
carefully synchronise the holes
fill trough and gently brush in - like using filling tool

i think you could hold it steady
if you make starfish with cupped fingers and hand

and first put in bottom half and hold with your fingers
then put the modified lid on top - and hold that too
so you are holding a sandwich

and then fill and brush with spare hand

i havent done it yet..but im looking thoughtfully at my magazine

thought id better ask first
you know how it is sometimes when you get a idea when youre high..

what is the size (diameter) of the magazine of the dosing capsules vs the filling tool?
same? bigger? smaller?

I have a diy-case and I like to know if the magazine would fit in the spot of the filling tool without any mods......

I have 6 dosing capusles in my filling tool right now with enough room to spare for a dosing capsule sized concentrate pad to squeeze in and they all fit tightly in place with the top screwed on.

The Mighty is and has been defective for at least two years. Can say the same but suspect the Crafty has the same issues. Having purchased my Mighty directly from S&B approximately one year ago, I have had nothing but trouble and have had it replaced six times in five months. They keep send a new unit or reconditioned unit with the same defective switch which over a couple of weeks of use, stops working and prevents the unit from heating at all. They will not refund money in spite of their warranty. I have two Volcanos and hopefully they won't break so I will never have to deal with S&B ever again. This is not the same responsive Storz and Bickel that I have dealt with over the past ten years. Buyer's be warned. Anybody want to but a Mighty, still in the box, very cheaply? Whatever happened to the formerly outstanding company? I think it was sold to someone that is clueless about their product or concern for the customer.

The dosing caps magazine is thinner than the filling tool, but just about exactly the same outside diameter.

Hello everybody!

I'm from Belgium and i wanted to buy a new portable vaporizer after my firewood 2.1
I can now afford to spend more money into a vaporizer.

I'm really intrested by the Mighty but now i'm afraid it won't work for long with all this defections report.

Are all mighty concerned by this problem?

Where should i buy it to avoid this problem?

Sorry for mistake in term of writting. English isn't my first langage.

Best regards,

Vifzor

Welcome.
Customer service in EU is reportedly great from S&B Germany.
Mighty has a much better track record than Crafty; Go for it! (After 3 Crafty's for me, Mighty has lasted now over 9 months and going strong).

I would personally buy direct from S&B, but at minimum find an authorized retailer.

I can second this, my first two Crafty's went quick, I work my Mighty over and haven't had an issue to date and don't worry or think about it.

If you are normally good at taking care of things and not the type who breaks a cell phone screen every couple months then the Mighty is for you!

Dont hammer on the buttons and try to push the power switch in the center of the button sort of gently.
I hear that part breaking on people if you are rough with it.

Bought mine last November and used every day as a daily driver. No issues, no cracks, no problem!

Extra cooling unit is a must for me to keep up maintainence, swap out between cleanings

is it difficult and time consuming to clean?

Thx for the precious advice on the way to push the button! I usually take care of thing so it should be ok!

What about extra accessories to buy? An extra cooling unit is a must have?

At least one extra cu is a must have, and I think you'll want @Ratchett's stand for the Mighty. A case to protect it isn't a bad idea too. I bet a bunch of people will recommend the capsules. I haven't used them so can't say...

Make sure you have ISO (99% preferably) in the house when it's time to clean.

Not to contradict you or anything, but if you use a fine screen in the CU, you can totally just have one. I have a backup, but I usually don't use it because I keep the first one clean. I also think a stand is unnecessary. I just hold the vape during a session, and if I have to set it down, gently place it on its side. I do like the dosing capsules, but they are optional as well.

I'm okay with that. Love your perspective and to learn how you use and maintain yours!
