I don’t mind using concentrate in the mighty, but I can’t do it with any herb with it. By the time the concentrate is ready, the herb is burnt to hell and tastes horrible. A capsule with the liquid pad and I’m good to go! Anyone else agree, or am I in the minority?

@arthritisbites, FWIW I never bothered with concentrates in the Mighty or Crafty; portable flower evapes just don't do concentrates justice and really dirty things up (even premium ones). OTOH when I decided to get a desktop evape I went with a premium unit known for being great at both flower and concentrate use. I've since begun to do and enjoy low temp dabbing. There's some great concentrate equipment options out there. Cheers

I actually don’t disagree with you, I rarely use concentrates in the mighty for the reasons you mentioned. I really want to get into dabbing, but I don’t have anyone to show me how, I have not found videos that were really clear, and this is just scary enough that I don’t feel comfortable experimenting on my own. I actually purchased a sai atomizer And everything else one would need to get started, which I was able to figure out between reddit and here. But I haven’t even opened the packaging because I’m too intimidated to try it out.

So I use flower in the mighty, and I use concentrate cartridges on pen batteries.

@arthritisbites, I'm not into those portable pen/box-mod style concentrate atomizers myself for a number of reasons but I'd encourage you to give that SAI atomizer a try if you already picked one up. There's lots of happy owners of them. I think they're better than cartridges though ymmv. Have you seen this video? It may help.

Take your time with it, maybe try a few dry runs and only use small amounts of concentrate to begin with until you get comfortable using the unit.

Has anyone experienced any issues with their Mighty from dropping the device? Mine almost just took a serious tumble, which got me thinking about its sturdiness if a fall was to occur.

Need to buy a stand, prevents falls from happening.

I agree with @BigJr48, I Put a stand on mine and never took it off. It really decreased the falls. However, I’ve dropped it numerous times and haven’t had an issue yet. I know others have had fins break off and what not, but it doesn’t seem to affect functionality. It’s a pretty hard-core little device

@Modicum, look to the stock Crafty temperature settings imo and ime :nod:... “Default” is set at 356F and “Boost” is set at 383F. I've unknowingly stumbed across pretty much the same ideal temps with my premium desktop vape from another manufacturer (350F and 380F). Start there and adjust to preference :leaf::peace:.

I need a favor. Can some one give me the great low temps they vape at with the Mighty?

I've been getting some very dry flower from some local dispensaries lately – so I can vaporize this at a pretty low temperature. I usually start at 155ºC. I've started as low as 140ºC (or so) and have gotten some very nice flavours at these low temps, but no visible vapour, which typically begins at 150-155ºC.

I should add that I always use dosing capsules – loosely packed, medium fine grind, and I don't insert the capsule until the starting temperature has been reached. This is because I feel that very dry flower will sometimes be spent even before the desired temperature is reached, given how relatively slow the Mighty is at reaching temperature.

My personal favorite way to use the Mighty is to fill a dosing capsule 75% full with herb and the other 25% with kief/oil/shatter. Turn the Mighty up to 390F and when it gets there, pop in the capsule. Flavor Town. The hits are cloudy as hell too. With the right mix, I can concoct a bowl that'll get me ripped in one hit.

After a few months of pretty regular use, my Mighty is very much due for a thorough all-around cleaning. There's quite a bit of "canna dander" hiding in the fins from rushed loading, and the cooling unit most certainly needs a full wash down.

How do you all go about a next-level, "bring me back to factory baseline" clean on the Mighty and all its parts?

For the cooling unit, I take it apart, remove the orings. Clean the o rings in iso. Then rinse, and set aside to dry

Then the remaining parts are put in a Ziploc and covered with iso. I heat the iso by dipping it in hot water. In a few minutes I slosh the now warmed up iso to loosen any resin. Then just rinse with water and dry.

Magic eraser makes the bowl like new, but make sure to get any residue off when your done. Iso works for this. You may want to remove the bottom screen as well.

The fins can be brushed out or blown out with air.

Pretty sure the o-rings are more Iso tolerant than the rest of the cooling unit.:tup:

Magic eraser makes the bowl like new,
Ah, nice tip, I just sent my unit back for warranty and the bowl still looked dirty when U posted it, I could not get it clean with Iso and q-tips.:myday:

On the warranty front, my new unit was received yesterday:clap:, the screen becoming dim was a known fault and Australian Vaporizers even refunded me my return postage costs, excellent communication from Julie at AusVapes who kept me informed the whole time...nice.:tup:

Yes, I don't get why S&B designed the Mighty with a rounded bottom that begs for a stand -- because otherwise it falls over. They could have designed it with a typical flat bottom.

Does anyone know why the Mighty has that round bottom?

Hallie (HD)
I think S&B don't want it flat, because the implication would be that it is safe to stand it on its' own, and it is not. It needs a broader base to support it properly and I think they just wanted to keep the lines slimmer, a little bit more pocketable. When passing with my friends, one of them will put it down and expect that this balancing act is okay. Mine has face-planted from this position and come away with broken fins near the bowl.
Some folks like stands that slide on firmly and pretty much leave that on. I prefer the one from @Ratchett that doesn't grab on, you can lift Mighty in/out easily and it weighs next to nothing. I got mine in 'glow-in-the-dark'. Imo, S&B could include something like this in the box (orange!) with the other plastic accessories. Wouldn't be the first time they got an idea from delta3dstudios!
The smaller Crafty has flat bottom, but it is much shorter with a lower center of gravity.

The next Mighty from S&B ... what do you want?

I love how my Mighty vapes. I'm bored with how my Mighty looks. Dull. Boring. Industrial. But how something works is much more important to me than how it looks. Still, it's very easy for me to imagine an attractive Mighty.

Just to look nicer, here's what I want in a 2.0 version of the Mighty:
* Metal case, same basic size, but less machine and more iDevice
* Metal? Could come in silver, black, blue, red, and cannabis green!
* Even if no case redesign, several color choices again - all plastic need not be all black
* If redesigned, a square, flat bottom so no third-party stand is needed

Also, besides looks, these improvements:
* Replaceable 18650 batteries
* Standard micro-USB for charging
* Increase top temperature to 428°F (220°C)
* Comes with WPA for both 14mm/18mm that won't crack the Mighty's top

What do you want in the next Mighty?
Do people from Storz & Bickel read FC posts?
