S and b sent me a return lable for my defectivr mighty and i sent it in last week with 2 day shipping and its been 8 days still no reaponse from s and b. Tracking shows they recieved it 4 days ago..when i emailed them they said i would get an email within 5 to 7 days of them recieving it??this sicks cuz i didnt think i would be without my mighty this long and still havent even got word from them. So this is gonna be minimum 2 week turnaroumd if not more. Which is a bummer mainly because my first return warranty i just went thru randy at puffitup and total it was 6 days from me sending mine in to recieving my replacement. But this time i went thru s and b so i can get the newef style charger and c/u because at the time of my first return randy didnt have accesories to send out..only the unit. So i guess i shoulda just went with randy this time too. But i guess i got lil greedy..lol
You're doing fine, they just don't over-communicate, to put it mildly. "still get no response" and "havent even got a word from them" sound a little impatient.
Your 8 day count is hard to read. 2 days shipping and they've had it for 4, that's 6 (and 2 of the 4 days they've 'done nothing' were the weekend).
The next thing will be an email saying either, 1. we've shipped you a package, or 2. here's your invoice/estimate for repair.
Either way, it's more likely you'll get the latest ver. from S&B than any retailer.
btw, did you happen across the RMA form described below?
Not to you,
@subway13029, but on the topic of warranty, again,
I just looked at the FAQ page on S&B site and some of it looks different (?). I think there used to be wording to allow that if you don't have a receipt of purchase, you may indicate date and place of purchase. Now there's a link to a RMA form, which asks for that, plus the price paid! as a required field! Toward the bottom of the FAQ page, after all the device descriptions and charts;
Sorry, decided not to quote or link, possible copyright issues, but there's a request for service form on the site!
I don't see anything on the site that would illuminate the 'resetting warranty' question. I see some have had direct communications with S&B, in different countries and with differing anecdotes reported here.
My inquiry, in US, yielded an email that clearly specified the exact date my two year warranty term began. It was the day S&B received back for service my first Crafty (it had failed within about two months of purchase, which was direct from S&B America). This date has not and will not reset. Apologies for being repetitive, but there seems to be a circular nature to this thread anyway. The Ground Hog Day Thread!
