Bit confused on the consensus of battery life after a firmware update. Will getting an updated firmware lessen the charge compared to before? Less sessions due to better temperature control?

Even though I can drop the temp by as much as I want to (big lungs), it doesn't bother me because it gives me a few seconds before the next hit. I would imagine that heating back up to set temp would hurt the battery even more for charge?

How do you guys use the oils and concentrates in the Mighty? I have the oil pads I just don't know what technique is best

I usually sandwich between flowers when u have used concentrates..u used the oil pad once and it kinda freaked me out cuz i started taking draw or two and is was wispy and I openend the cooling unit and it was instantly clear and I felt like it was gone..I dunno it was weird so I either use nail or sandwich between flowers..

with liquid pad -
turn the mighty on - set temp to 210 C let it warm and put a small drop of your concentrate on top of liquid pad - when the temp is reached place liquid pad in the chamber and close with cooling unit.

If you don´t like using liquid pad you can put a layer of herb tamp it a little than drop tiny amount of concentrate and again thin layer of herb.

Be careful to not use too much - that can make big mess - you don´t want concentrates leaking into your unit trough the heating chamber

I just place weed in first than cover it with a screen. On that screen I place oil. it usually seeps and mixes with the herb for stronger hits without the restriction of the oil pad

I'm afraid I didn't do the same tests with my old Mighty but my anecdotal evidence is that it does NOT last as long as it did before. I am fine with the performance and battery time of my new one, but it is less (again, not scientific.. just the feeling I have).

Hi Sundaddy

Mighty:love: is one of my best portable vaporizer and Volcano:love: is one of my best desktop vaporizer

Volcano may give bigger clouds

volcano.jpg

Seriously, bowl is larger with Volcano and balloon offer huge quantity of vapor, immediatly sharable; so Volcano is more allocated to share, it's a kind of "familial" vaporizer IMO.

Incidentaly, there is higher temp (226C/439F) and nearly no air restriction at all.

Compared to Volcano, Mighty seems to have been built more for individual use.

MOTHER OF GOD!

My Crafty went bellyup after only 3 months and 82 hours of use according to the App. I opted for an "upgrade" to a Mighty for $60, and then decided I needed 2 glass mouthpieces bought on Amazon UK.This is not an inexpensive pastime. I recently had an arm emergency amputated which caused stokes. I had already been on pain meds such as Fentanyl patches and IR Oxycodone because of chronic pain following 16 knee, and 3 back surgeries.
The Pain Clinics I'd gone to had surprise piss tests and if you tested positive for THC or took more pills than allowed and you were immediately cut off. One visit last year I admitted I'd ran out 2 days early because I'd taken more than RX.

Withdrawal from heavy Fentanyl and Oxy IR is seriously bad. Think French Connection²...

After 2 full months in the hospital I came home and a neighbor asked if I'd tried cannabis for the pain. I had fired my pain clinic about 3 weeks into my hospitalization, I'd had a TEAM of Dr's working just on keeping my pain bearable. But I had told them I wanted to try and get off or at least lower my narcotic dosages when I got discharged. So I tried a couple of hits. And I was AMAZED that it actually helped! But I had a lot of trouble using a bong etc. with my one hand. After a lot of investigation and suggrestions from 2 Dr's, (every Dr I asked thought Cannabis was worth trying but they didn't want me smoking it) I took a chance and ordered a Crafty. I got a Santa Cruz grinder but the filling tool really helped me. In fact all of the tools worked really well for me. I found I could manage the whole process with my remaining hand! In addition I now have a D20 waterpipe and whip per Buzz Danklin http://www.vaporizerwizard.com/crafty-mighty-water-pipe-adapter-tutorial/

Question folks, look into your smoke filled crystal balls and tell if the Mighty going to die after 3 months and 82 hours of use? Am I going to regret losing the App and USB charging? Miss being able to stand the Crafty up?

I have been holding the Crafty against me with my "residual limb" while using the filling tool. So I hope the Mighty's inability to stand won't be a problem.

Cannabis is legal here in Alaska, more or less. But there seems to be a movement to make it HIGHLY OVER REGULATED. For instance, next year when I buy some weed in a retail store the law says I have to take my opaque container with a childproof top and put it into my trunk in order to legally take it home. Honest to God!

Fortunately the Alaska State Constitution protects my RIGHT to use cannabis.

Ravin v. State, 537 P.2d 494 (Alaska 1975), was a 1975 decision by the Alaska Supreme Court that held theAlaska Constitution's right to privacy protects an adult's ability to use and possess a small amount of marijuana in the home for personal use.[1] The Alaska Supreme Court thereby became the first—and only—state or federal court to announce a constitutional privacy right that protects some level of marijuana use and possession.

The might does stand up...you have to flip the stirring backwards.

No need to worry about your mighty dying after 82 hours, because they aren't documented, you would have to get a stopwatch

Loosing the usb charging shouldn't be too hard, because the mighty has pass through charging and it charges in less than half the time to charge than the crafty.

Finally got my hands on my Mighty upgrade. As compared to the Crafty, IMO the Mighty wins hands-down. It heats up faster, charges much faster, and holds a much longer charge. The larger cooling chamber is more effective, and the temperature drops are much less severe, leading to noticeably better vapor. The only thing I don't like is that there doesn't appear to be a way to turn the screen off temporarily.

Two things stood out to me. First, I noticed that the auto-shutoff is much better on the Mighty than the Crafty. Even with the newest Crafty w/ the latest firmware, the vape would shut off after a minute despite its inhalation sensor. On the Mighty, it recognizes basically any hit and resets the timer flawlessly. I'm surprised they haven't fixed the Crafty in this respect.

Second, I find it interesting that the Mighty has more than double the battery life of the Crafty. Since the Mighty has two batteries, I would think that the battery life improvements would be no more than double, and wonder where the extra juice is coming from.

All in all, I'm happy with the performance of the unit, but only time will tell if this will be more reliable than the Crafty (I went through three failed units before upgrading).

Hey all , can you post some of your preferred packing methods and results with the Mighty ? So far i been going with a fine grind , loading the oven a drop above the heater and packing it down pretty tight. Results have been nice but sessions have been short. I have been running 375-385 deg F so far . Always looking to hear everyone's method and results - ty

You should be fine, in my old mighty with the one minute shut off it would happen about once a week and turn off after about 10 minutes.

Same here, once my VripTech VripMaster arrived, I have only touched it once, and that's because I needed vapour within a minute, not 5. It still blew me away though! All this "moisture strip" talk over in the Crafty thread scares the shit out of me though. But i'll know soon enough!

But I honestly don't know what you mean here

Does it have a kickstand?

It inserts flush with the body of the vaporizer. If you spin the tool 180 degrees so that the bottom tab points away, it turns into a mini kickstand of sorts. Probably meant stirring tool and forgot to type tool.

I use a pretty fine grind, pour it in to just barely above the metal rim. I might just barely touch the top but I certainly don't pack it. Put the CU in place and get rolling.

My sessions are also short . . .

So let's see some muzzmod videos now that more people have one. :)
Sir,
are you the source of the original muzzmod? I have a Mighty arriving tomorrow via FedEX. The shipping set me back $10 and S&B charged me $60 for upgrading my DOA Crafty. I also gave em' $34.90 for the wear and tear set plus a few bucks for more screens.
I never tried using email, I called them. After figuring out which menu choice would most likely get me a live one, their customer service rated pretty well as far as I'm concerned. I saw some people have posted about "gifts" of spare parts. Maybe I shouldn't have bought the wear and tear set...

After reading and watching Buzz Danklin's video (But Prior to discovering THIS Den of Freaks)I got an Arizer Extreme-Q Whip and the glass he recommended from Sunshinestore. Worked pretty well but just wasn't quite right. A mighty and one of your mods as well as that SUPERB glass just might be "The Kind". Permatex 80855 Clear RTV Silcone Adhesive has been suggested to me by a friend more handy. He thinks it would really last regardless of temps 410C or so.

Was that glass a HydraTube?

I'm down to one hand and am most definately not handy with tools etc. but I'm highly motivated.

Puns intended.

But I LUST after a Cloud EVO setup!!
