I was just kidding. Thought the smiley made this clear. I totally get your point!

Tone is tough to read when staring at a screen, I hate that as a 30 yr old man I have to put smiley faces in my posts to show I am joking :). I did not see yours at first for some reason.

Is everyone getting new units that is sending one back or are some getting refurbished ones?

I have had all of my units replaced with brand new units. I have read that Crafty users can receive refurbished units.

Thanks. Can anyone chime in who has sent it to Oakland in the US if we get new or refurbished replacements. Debating on how long to wait to send it in. Performance is down and it REALLY struggles to reach, and never stays at, max temp. No cosmetic issues yet though (been babying it like crazy).

Every single time I have sent in Crafty or Mighty I have received brand new units in return. Just started requesting the prepaid shipping labels as well. Just call the service number and hit #0 to get to the "receptionist" and she will e-mail you one right away.

Yeah I've made the elmomuzz glass gong mod..I use it quite often..it ends up being an 18mm..and I use my ratchet song for 14mm..I also have a song for 18mm but I really like the glass on glass connection..fairly easy to make..actually super easy..Lil pricey because it takes a cooling unit plus a glass reducer.but love it..

When people CALL S&B, what number are they using? The only number I found was the german number, I would like a free shipping label as well
I might as well send in the mighty asap, the sooner I send it in the sooner I get one back

Shipping it yourself and using a faster method will get it to them quicker I'm sure. Prepaid labels are usually ground shipping.

As for the Oakland number, it's listed on their site in the how to get warranty service section:

About halfway down, don't want to post it here in case it changes or whatever.

Hey guys, first timer here. Been meaning to say, I've been lurking on these boards a lot, and thanks to you, I've recently purchased a sexy new Mighty!:2c:

So, I've been trying desperately to research the mighty, it's uses and pros (thanks for all your helpful posts and advices, you guys are awesome!) and I am about to perform my first resin Reclaim ever! It's a bit of a hassle getting Iso in where I live, so I have about 2 weeks of used gunk to reclaim.

I haven't found much of a conclusive answer or method on how to clean/reclaim the Mighty.
I was planning on soaking the CU with all the rubbers in glass piece for roughly 20 minutes, and shakely about 2-3 times. Is that the best method for reclaiming the Mighty? (Thought I read that the CU plastic and Iso dont mix well?:uhoh:)

If you have any other tips, or sites that are best for a Mighty user to read and learn from, that'd be great :clap::D

Welcome Rave. When I clean my mighty/crafty, I first do a session to heat up the cooling unit as it is much easier to take apart when warm. I then take the mouthpiece off, unlock the unit and take it apart. I use my fingernail to remove the hologram logo thing.

Two parts of cooling unit and mouthpiece go into a jar with enough ISO to cover the pieces when I lay it on its side. Swish it around for 20 minutes or so (manual states no longer than 60 minutes for the CU pieces). I then take them out, clean any tough spots with Q-Tips and let them dry. Reassemble and good to go!

You can then put that ISO in a pyrex dish and let it evaporate and scrap off the leftovers. You can also just scrap the stuff out of the cooling unit after it hardens again. Personally, I just clean and use fresh flowers as I don't have the space/means to do reclaim properly (kids, wife who tolerates the vaping, wouldn't be happy if I turned the kitchen or yard into a chemistry lab). :D

edit: one tip, replace the screen in the cooling unit with a finer mesh like the ones that go into the filling chamber. I see S&B now offers a 6 pack of the fine mesh screens for $5 on their site. Used to be you could only get the 4 coarse, 2 fine pack.

Is it advised to take out the hologram logo thing out (how?) and don't soak it in ISO?

I didn't the first few times but when I realized how easily it comes off I started in case the ISO clouds it through time.

Just look at the manual, you just put a fingernail under one side and give a little lift to pop it off.

During a cleaning last night I noticed a bit of missing plastic on the base unit where the cooling unit connects on my Mighty (Crafty is still less than a week old so she's flawless). I agree with what others have suspected and stated.. When the plastic is really hot, it gets weaker. If you are removing/adjusting/replacing the cooling unit while it is really warm, you are going to break bits off sooner or later.

For that reason, I am going to treat my Crafty a little differently and really try to let the unit cool down before touching cooling unit. If I need to open it hot, I'm going to make a conscious effort to remember to press down against the O ring to relieve the pressure of the plastic on plastic.

I'll let the Mighty take some more abuse before I send it away. Having the Crafty for backup makes this an option haha. When the replacement Mighty comes, I'll treat it the same way.

It's easier but not nearly as good a solution. The muzzmod provides the most direct pathway from herb to water.
I think it's just as good.your not cutting your cu up and it's such a small amount of extra space. I much prefer keeping my cu intact. Plus you keep the stealth form. Sure you could put a j hook or something similar on top of the 18mm adapter but that's not stealthy at all

Make believe your back in arts and crafts as a kid in school. You can make one! It's not very hard.

@elmomuzz
haha! i would love too im just lacking the tools at the moment. It would probably cost me a hefty penny just to get the hacksaw.
The muzzmod is without a doubt the most effective water tool for the mighty. Removing the cooling unit allows for the vapor to travel effectively without it collecting inside the cooling unit.

It's much easier IMO to take some tubing and slip it on the mouthpiece.
No cutting, gluing or anything of that nature.
Pm me and I'll send you one If your In the US.

thank you so much for the offer! thats really kind of you! id much prefer having the water tool without the cooling unit. I just feel like the cooling unit collects so much vapor( understandable when your not using water.) But when you are using water, it seems to me that the cooling unit is counter efficient. Thats why to me it seems better to just remove the cooling chamber and just replace it with a reducer.

Maybe @Ratchett can 3d print a silicone cut off cooling chamber(that way you dont spend 20 bucks buying a cooling chamber) and then attach a reducer. (if only it was that simple haha)

Live Reclaiming on the next level.

So I vaped a normal bowl, emptied the chamber, took a new liquid pad, tear i apart slowly so tha you have a pad with a "pacman" like form. Scrape of some oil off the warm cooling unit and wipe the screwdriver with the oil within the liquid pad. Insta-oil :)

So basically you can go from "no weed" to preparing several oil-filled pads for the go

Yup, @Ratchett 's piece works excellent. Very easy to use. I like to start a session with just dry vapor and finish it with water. Rachett's tool makes this easy peasy. I see no need to cut up a cooling unit.
