Was stoked until I realized that the kind of hard, pressed hash we get here this may not be the best answer. Either way, I'd love to heard reports of anyone who's tried it with actual charas and not just oil.

Sorry. I only briefly tried it but the results were what you'd expect. To get near the heat the goods have to soak into the pad. The action is conduction, airflow, size and shape have nothing to do with it. Like with Omicron carts it has to be "supermelt or better". Full melts, bubble, kief, pressed hashes and so on are not going to work well IMO.

I wonder if OF's around, we could use some help moving something heavy...

Battery charger is different than mine.

Brush is different than mine.

No logo on the box itself is a big giveaway.

Box is different... then again I don't know if older models had different boxes.


I wouldn't pay $1 for that "launch box". 100% fake.

That is not Magic-Flight packaging. Magic-Flight has never used brushes like those and I don't believe they've ever shipped that particular charger. If that box is a genuine MFLB then it is really old because it doesn't have the little BB lock. I would not trust this seller.

2. Can any of you recommend a carrying case that would hold all of the following: the MFLB, a few batteries, the battery charger, power adapter & grinder? The tin has been fine but I'm looking for something that can hold all of the accessories I use with the MFLB at once.

I meant a case that would hold everything, I have all those accessories already. Just edited to clarify. I use the plastic case to hold ground herb so I can quickly load trenches later and to hold ABV so I can use them for cooking. Also, sometimes it's not convenient to empty a trench into a garbage or somewhere around you so it's nice to have a place to put it in the mean time. I just wanted one that would fit the trench perfectly because I tend to spill a little product when loading and emptying a trench.

Try a craft store. Ii go to ccollectives and they use those little containers for kief/hash and sometimes for concentrates too. I can ask for an empty one or two. I found an 8 pack that was a bit bigger capacity for $1.99 at a craft store.

Thanks! I will definitely do that. You wouldn't happen to know the diameter of the MFLB trench, would you? I've been looking around my house for a ruler and googling for that info but I can't find either.

EDIT: Nevermind, I finally found a ruler. The diameter measures out to 1.25" so I can use that when I go looking, thanks again!

Or.... you could go through your prescriptions, or someone else's old bottles and find about half of them, are the exact same size. Just make sure you clean them out first.

If the tray is only conduction, why does it have a screen?.

From the looks of it, the tray is just replicating the normal magic flight screen, just with something under the porous screen to continue heating whatever drops down between the screen.

Like I stated earlier when people use concentrates they tend to not break it up, and this causes more heat to be used, but this isn't good for preventing the lower essential oils from degrading. Plus they use more then they need, which is a waste in the long run. Think of it like this, when you use a whole bud in a vaporizer you need more heat to get things going, then if you were to break it up as much as possible, so air can go through, and around it, for efficient extraction without the need for high heat. Remember we are just vaping trichomes. The same things that are on the bud, just a little more concentrated.

OK, it makes sense.

I still think, you might can use hash with it, if it's broken up finely, not packed too much, and spread apart, being that the tray still gets heated up. That hot air from the tray, and the magic flight screen, can travel to the hash, and heat it up. The tray will protect your regular screen from getting gunked up, than if you were to use the melty hash on the normal magic flight screen. Again the secret with hash is to use it like you would bud, and not throw chunks in it.

I'm still not understanding why it wouldn't work though?.

The only thing I can think of is the hash wasn't broken up that well, but you stated you tried this, so the only thing I can think of is the speed of inhale is preventing enough heat to melt some parts of the concentrate being that the launch box doesn't hold heat very well. Remember a concentrate is a mixture of lower, medium, and high temperature boiling oils. This means if the concentrate isn't broken up well, and the heat is low, only the surface of the concentrate will boil, while the higher boiling substances won't, and they will block the other lower temp substances form being released that are in the core of the concentrate, due to covering them. This doesn't happen with bud because the trichomes are separated enough, and they are small while on the bud.

Vicki, can you try this technique out, and see how it works?.

1-You break up the hash into sizes close to sesame seeds,

2-Spread them apart so that they won't congeal onto each other

3-Heat up the box for 10-15 seconds, then take VERY LITE inhales. When I state lite, I mean you are barely inhaling anything into your mouth. You are inhaling so slow that your lungs aren't activated. All you are doing is SLOWLY bringing the vapor into your mouth. Do this for 10-15 seconds. Then do a deep inhale as you normally do.

Drink some water before the inhale so you don't dry out your mouth, and to cool the vapor down.
