i have a question about the warranty process... do they not make you send back your broken box now since they make you take a picture of it w/ the screen out??... i was under the impression that the old boxes had to be sent back but no time during the process did they say to do that.. i thought maybe my new box would come w/ a note saying to send in my old one... just want to make sure that it will be warrantied still if i dont send back the broken box

I'm not sure. Have you asked Magic Flight what they want you to do?

I am unaware of any policy changes with the warranty. Its always been, if you're stateside... send it back (with some exceptions, I'm sure). If you live outside the States, they ask for proof of the box being dismantled/unusable.

Though, that may work out for me, since I'm still procrastinating sending back the foil wrapped Box in my closet. LOL!

OF.... good tip on the 'box waxing', i ended up just using some burt's beeswax and i'm very happy w/ it. i can see how straight floor wax would protect better.. it might not last as long as the floor wax??? because the beeswax has ~5 different oils on top of the beeswax... i do notice the wax doing its thing though. don't think ill go w/o it again.

VVVV EDIT : right on, thanks for the info... i never think to use wax.

You're welcome. Great stuff. Museums wax stuff, that's where I got onto the practice. Hard waxes are very tough, nearly perfectly clear, last a long time and can be completely removed from antique guns, china and so on as needed. Works great on tools you'll use in the rain or other wet conditions (like shovel handles).

In the process of warranty-ing my first box now. I filled out the form online and attached photos of damage/serial number. The new box is on its way and I'm requested to remove the screen from the old one and take a photo with box and some of my info written on a white piece of paper and send that to them. (Was supposed to do that last night... Ooops.). No word on sending the box back on the email although I don't have the new box yet and I haven't completed my photo task yet.
Btw... I'm stateside.

ehakim, hitting the box with out a stem is called "native" and it allows precise
temp control as the heat can be felt directly on your mouth and tongue.
Some of our members only use the box in the native mode while others
prefer stems, tubing and water filtration.
Have fun experimenting with all of ways that the box can be used.
I usually employ the stem, but in public I usually go native for more stealth.

Finally got around to snapping pics and sending them in... now the waiting game begins. Considering it's around noon... I'm about 40 miles from them... hoping by the end of my shift Saturday I'll have some goodies in the mail? We shall see...

Great tip OF thanks I never thought to wax the tools I use in the rain. It always irks me to have a new tool rust from being in the rain for like 5 min. I did the same as buildozer and waxed my box the other week with some Burt's bees I had. It works great put another coat on after a week. The wood liked oils in there anyway I think. It shined up nice  got a box of Powerex 2700's last week and :whoa: I should got some a loooong time ago, i can't wait to try MF's new ones when they are available if they top a Powerex they must be the shiznit

Someones always watching..
let me just say that I loved my box till the very end. and the end was yesterday. I sold it to my buddy with all it's accessories for 200. the finishing grinder,pa,WPA/wpw and a 10 inch beaker. it's a nice setup but when I did the math to get my .mflb to work how I wanted .it was then I realized how much I spent. reality check! . I miss you mflb, you planted the vape seed in me(figuratively)
but I introduced someone new to vaping .that's what it's all about, and that's how I pay it forward!

Rubber ring in bowl, on top of the screen, came loose, then after that, it seems I pressed down the screen on one side, trying to somehow press the black ring in.

make sense? defect? my fuck up? still hits though!!! burning some retarded Flo this week...0% couch lock, 100% rainbows.

Doesn't matter, you have a warranty claim.

i just heard back from magic flight about the warranty... i guess they just do photo proof that your box isn't working now.. i live a couple hours from san diego and they didn't ask me to send it back, the email just said to rip out the screen, break lid, cross out back, write last 4 digits on front, and take pics of front n back and email back w/ subject reading: Activate Warranty... aside from the subject title, that was the first thing they had me do, but i guess ill just resend the pics again to be safe...
