Hi guys, lurker for a while now, bought a launch box and me and all my buddies absolutely LOVE it.
I thought the deal with batteries had to do moreso with altitude in which you store them at. Higher up you get less of a charge, I think.
Anyways, I have a question for you all, I've bought a few extra duracells and what have yous to make sure i always have some batteries handy. Now! Interesting thing happened to me the other day. After i fully charged a pair of batteries in my duracell charger, I left them there. They must have been making contact with each other for about 15 minutes or so, and i started hearing popping noises. I didn't notice until i felt the charger and the batteries, and they were BLAZING HOT. The charger died, but the batteries still work somehow.
So, with that in mind, how do you guys make sure your batteries don't do crazy shit while they're not being used? I had no idea the electricity would leak like this. I tried insulating with paper the outside but then they wouldn't fit into my box. I tried emailing the guys for their recommendation but i haven't heard word yet. Short of buying the batteries with the cases from the store, what else can i do?
