got my launch box yesterday around five and ive already had to cgarge both sets of batteries. the second set of batteries in that ebay ad are definitly a convienence. This thing gets me super baked to, two trenches and im nice. also i feel like my learning curve only lasted about 15 seconds after reading through this thread. This is the second vaporizer ive bought after reading reviews on this forum and its helped me purchase two really great vapes. Thanks FC!

I also asked about the stock charger, since a few people have mentioned receiving Tenergy chargers recently. Apparently a stock shortage of the Magic-Flight branded charger resulted in substituting a fully tested compatible Tenergy charger for some shipments. I have added some clarification for the confusion over some Tenergy chargers being not suitable in the Vaporpedia entry:

http://www.vaporpedia.com/wiki/Magi...argers_does_Magic-Flight_recommend_against.3F

Thanks for this, pakalolo! I was wondering about the Tenergy charger, but i have no complaints so far.

1 full trench for wake n vape. 2/3-3/4 full trenches throughout the day. Never need back to back trenches but I vape that good shit so YMMV

Any word on when the production PA will be available? I haven't seen mf address that recently.

I would like to know as well seeing as I plan to buy one soon and I'd rather wait for the production if it won't be too long.

+1. Looking to purchase an MFLB as my first vape and would love to know the PA's release date (and price, if different than the beta version). Thanks Magic Flight and FC forum.

Be patient dudes. I'm sure the final PA will come out soon, but i bet MF is still looking to make improvements and get rid of all if not most of the beta units.

I'll be buying a final PA too

i will wait until it isnt a beta anymore and when i have the funds i will be picking one up as someone lost my battery charger and i just dont have the $50 to get another one, since i use my LB always near a plug or lighter receptacle it would be much better then batteries :)

For anyone who wants to clean their MFLB trenches at the shoulders if there is buildup at the rods all you need to do is put a fairly fresh battery in and just brush the buildup away while you're pushing the battery in! Hope this helps! :peace:

^^^ Actually, (someone correct me if I'm wrong) unless they've changed the brush from the one originally shipped with the Launch Box, it is NOT supposed to be used unless the box is cold. :peace:

The brush that comes with the LB is a flux brush for soldering. The bristles will not melt like a paintbrushes will. You can get bigger ones at home depot for like 85 cents.

Hey guys! Can anyone tell me about how long I will have to go without my lovely launch box when I send it in for replacement? How long from after you send it back does the new one arrive, generally? Thank you!

Once you email them to start the warranty process they will ask you to email them pictures of your launch box and the id #. Send them the pics and the info they ask and they WILL SEND YOUR REPLACEMENT BOX BEFORE YOU HAVE TO SEND YOUR DAMAGED ONE IN. How awesome is that? I was very impressed with their customer service. I had mine in a few days.

On a side note....this is my first post but I discovered this forum way back last spring when I was researching vapes. What an incredible resource.

I ended up buying an iolite....but just got a magic flight. Love my new box!!!! Iolite has it's place and uses but am really digging the magic flight. And that lifetime guaranty is a big plus.

My iolite won't work anymore after 9 months and Iolite refuses to accept it for warranty because of who I purchased it from online. BOGUS. Iolite= bad customer service and warranty
Magic Flight= GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WARRANTY

Hows it going guys.
Does anyone use their MFLB heavily? How much do you use it...An occasional piece or daily what amount do use in it.

I use it for about 5-8 trenches a day, all around .15-.2g, so a total of 1-1.5g per day. I've been doing this since I got it around mid-October.

Hey guys. got another question if you dont mind.
How do you know your not inhaling at low temperature and wasting weed? Was looking at a graph comparing draw rates and temperature, showing a harder draw can set the temperature down to 100. I know you can feel it to a certain extent but that could be off by alot. So regardless of how slow your pulling theirs no way to know what the temperature it is. If your actually getting enough out of your weed.

Literally the only thing stopping me from getting one.

You are not wasting weed if the temperature is lower, the THC simply fails to vaporize and stays in the plant matter/trichomes.
With a lower temperature the herbs will stay green, and you won't feel the effects.

After a few weeks/months controlling the temperature with draw speed will become almost like second nature, you just feel the vapor/temperature on the tip of your tongue and know when to draw slower/faster or change the battery.

Low temperatures won't waste weed. You'll know how much you're "getting out of your weed" by how you feel, how much vapor you exhale, and by looking at what color your weed is.

Please don't let that be the thing stopping you from getting one, it's a non-issue IMO.

george,

Been here since 2009
I can now see the value of better batteries. My material is a bit (just a bit) on the moist side, and the LB spends some energy essentially drying it before it vaporizes. I find that I get better results using two batteries. I don't drain the first battery, obviously. But after a bit it's putting out less juice, so I use the second batt.

I'm hoping that premium batteries will discharge more juice and for a bit longer. Maybe that's not a good expectation.

I take some organic material out of a sealed jar (under vacuum) and then grind it. It's nice and fluffy and will dry quite a bit after a couple of days, at which time the two battery scenario isn't necessary.

True, but you don't get those thick vape hits that way

All direct draw vaporizers are affected by your draw rate. Some of them deal with this well and maintain heater temperature. Obviously the LB is not one of those, but it doesn't follow that you don't know if you're getting enough out of your weed because you don't know the exact temperature.

If I draw too hard then the temperature will be too low so no vapour. If I don't draw at all through the box but inhale just through my nose (pyromon's technique) then the screen heats up enough to generate thick hot vapor, and if I don't remove the battery soon enough my load will start to combust. Since I can vary the draw rate anywhere in between, with a little experimenting I can get whatever effect I want from my LB--and so can you.
