Next time you slam a product do so from a position of personal experience rather than rumor and innuendo.

I suppose you are correct on that, although it was not based on rumor and innuendo. The question was asked several times about the charger with no answers, so I looked at the specs and it doesn't look good on paper at all. I based my answer on my knowledge and not personal experience using that charger. Having said that, I still would not recommend it. You are also wrong about the charging current, download the manual from Maha like I did and you'll see it is only 500mA per channel MAX, which actually means each individual battery is only getting 250mA!

he also labeled the LaCrosse BC-700 as trash and a "turd" which is ridiculous

It is?

lwien said:
To many, that wouldn't be a big deal, and in that case, calling this charger a "shit" charger like he did, or calling the BC-700 a turd like he did is nothing but ramblings from a C9000 fanboy (although the C9000 is a great charger). It's that whole, "my charger is the best and everything else is crap and if you don't make the same purchasing decision that I did, then you are an idiot", mentality, especially with the negative labels that are being tossed around.

LOL, yeah I'm a pusher and a fanboy, need to get my MAHA Energy stocks to go up somehow so that I can finally afford to move out of this cardboard box under the freeway overpass. For making a lot of incorrect assumptions, you are right about one... I must be the idiot that you are referring to as I too bought a BC-700. It ruined numerous batteries before toasting itself, then I threw it in the garbage where turds belong. I call a turd a turd, even if I own(ed) one, you need to defend a bad purchase by convincing others to do the same to no ones benefit. If you want to attack my character then do so by email, don't use up more posts in this thread with this.

Well, to me, it's not a bad purchase and it has and is, serving me very well. As far as attacking your character, if you believe that calling you a C9000 fanboy is an attack, than I humbly apologize.

To those that may be interested in the BC-700 check out the 254 user reviews of this charger, with the overwhelming majority of them.............positive. If in fact, the BC-700 was inherently a bad charger, it would be reflected here: http://www.amazon.com/Crosse-Techno...dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1

Also, here is a comparison review of the LaCrosse as compared to the C9000 by an electronics engineer that has used both extensively:

http://www.amazon.com/Maha-Powerex-...dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1

Just because you did a bad review on the BC 700 doesnt make it a bad charger just like my positive review doesn't make it a good one. Gotta read a bunch more than that to draw a conclusion. Both the C9000 and the LaCrosse chargers have an overwhelming majority of positive reviews as compared to negative ones and just goes to prove that they are both excellent chargers.

Are there "turds" in ever product run. Sure there are. Are there people unhappy with their BC 700's. Sure there are, as DeepFried can attest, but I can also post up reviews by those that have had really bad experiences with the C9000 as well.

Nothing more to say regarding either of these chargers. To anyone other than DF, know this. You will not be disappointed with either one.

Will not reply any further regarding this issue.

This is a good idea.

Could've been better 2 posts ago imo... not really any useful info there.

Maybe start a battery thread?

I just got mine a few days ago and love it. It took me a couple uses to get it, but then I read some info and it works great. Seems the same amount of meds lasts longer than normal and is much less harsh on the lungs. My asthma is loving me since I can breath so good after discoverying how well marijuana works for me. It is totally awesome :) Thanks Magic flight, small convenient, and well working box.

So I ordered my MFLB on Thursday late afternoon, mover the phone with Vape World...the service was great, now I'm anxiously awaiting the doorbell! It's supposed to arrive on Monday or Tuesday...

After much research and debate, I have decided against ordering extra batteries, and am going to save a little extra for the PA. Plus IIRC the final version should be out this month right?

On a semi related note, has anyone tried using salvium divornum in their launch box? It's listed on the magic flight web site as a Vape-able herb/plant...

Hey guys. So ive been hearing about this vaporizer and have some questions for you guys who've used it.

1. How much bud can you pack into it?

2. If your a heavy user, should you use a portable vaporizer as your primary smoking tool? Most my bud would be used in it, daily.

Hi there MLark,
A wealth of info about MFLB can be found here: http://www.fuckcombustion.com/viewtopic.php?id=909 I have owned mine for a week and I have found that it is a very stealth portable vape. I also own an Iolite and it gets me equally as ripped (sometimes moreso with the right inhaling/ breathing techniques)

To answer your questions:

1. You can pack about a joints worth of very finely ground material in it. You can refill it very easily and it doesn't require a "cool down" but you can figure you are going to need a few extra batteries if you are going to be vaping with it all day as your primary vape.

If portability is not that important to you then a whip or variable temperature style vape might be more appropriate to a heavy user. (I have an Extreme Q for home use) I have a friend that is what I would consider a chronic user and he uses his Iolite as his primary. It's just a matter of personal taste really.

There is a ton of info on every possible vaporizer on this site. Spend some time looking around and I am sure you will soon be able to make the right decision...

Happy vaping!:)

I had a screen issue on my original LB, screen came loose at edges. This was before ring around trench.

I emailed MF pictures, serial number, etc. and they replaced it. I don't know how you'd attach a new screen but if you have lifetime warranty...don't really need to. I've never seen anyone mention replacing their screen.

1. Herb should never actually be 'packed' into the LB, it should be ground as fine as possible and lightly loaded. You can use just enough to cover maybe 1/3 of the trench or you can fill it(as long as you dont over flow the shoulders of the trench).

2. It depends on you and your needs. If you vape outside, or need to vape quickly, then a portable(the MFLB) would be good for that, however it wouldnt be a good choice if you mostly vaoe at home, IMO. But everyones different, not everyone likes the same vaping experience. Many vaporists do end up with multiple vapes for different situations, as different types of units will serve their own purpose.

To clarify and rebutt, the box for the C204FA states 'rapid charge current 1000ma/2 batteries, 500ma/4 batteries'.

So last night my dog got a hold of my MFLB.. He bit that thing to shreds until you really couldn't tell what it was. My girlfriend then went and threw it away.

Now I am MFLB-less and I'm assuming this isn't under warranty considering I don't even have it anymore. Sucks, I've been using this for a very long time.

I believe the warranty even covers abuse. Get in the trash and contact Magic Flight. :2c:

I have filled the MFLB above the shoulders and never had any issues. I actually do it with my more fresh herb because I usually can't get it to grind very well in my grinder, so its not very fine, but once I vape a big amount, i can crumble it and it becomes less. Thats my technique... :)

If you are looking for thick hard vapor hits that are going to blow you off your feet, the MFLB won't be right for you. This is more of your connoisseur vape. You enjoy it, sip it lightly, it tastes good, it feels AWESOME. But for me, it takes longer to get high than some of the bigger vapes.

I agree that you might want to consider getting the MLFB with the power adapter. I use it daily and I actually like the portability of it, even though it's used mostly at home. It's my only vape and as such, its only drawback is constantly keeping up with the batteries. Having the PA would alleviate that.

am going to pull the trigger on one of these soon, hanging in there for the power adapter retail edition, hoping it will have temp indicator markings on it. not a dealbreaker if it doesn't, but sure would make this thing about perfect.
couple questions:

1...has anyone ordered an mflb with the new custom woods? do they charge more for the custom woods?

and

2...are there any discounts/codes available for fc members for a discount at any of the vendors we support that sell the mflb? probably not since the darn things practically sell themselves but figured i'd ask.

thanks :peace:

1. Yes they charge more for customized woods, and they of course take longer to make. I am pretty sure exotic wood MFLB's are around $150, and take a couple of weeks to make

2. There was a discount on puffitup.com for 15% off, if you use FC-15 coupon code, but they are currently out of MFLB's.

I think Magic-Flight has mentioned the price being around $169 when they are released.

Magic Flight, as well as 7th Floor, does not want resellers to honor their vapes under the dealer discount codes. Our retailer thread now spells this out for Puffitup, at least. You can get discounts from these resellers, but you have to contact them to get a price.

"Discount codes do not apply to Magic Flight purchases. Contact Puffitup for MF pricing." The same statement is listed for Vapeworld.

thanks all for the fast replies! :)

much as i love the koa wood look guess i will just stick to the standard birch model as the extra 50-69 bucks isn't worth it, forget about the weeks long wait, that would kill me more!
and i will contact whatever seller i decide to buy from to see about discounts.
can't wait to hit the mflb around the campfire this summer

Don't quote me on this, but I think the standard wood is maple now. Which is awesome, because I personally think maple is much prettier than birch.

Seriously look up some really awesome teak or a big piece of cedar (look at the cutting design to determine whether it might give good tones when lathed. You can send then a cut of wood by their specs. Imagine the cedar smell when it heats up. I know teak is hard as hell. So I know it would take a beating. They also might have requirements when it comes to sending in wood. (certain types might not be accepted). I know some of that wood take a helluva blade and torque. Sometimes special lathes to cut that hard wood.

I hear a lot of hype about the PD. It would of been my 2nd or third choice, the lather being the SSV. Price was a factor but overall sustainability and daily workhorse. DBV has been my first and last. Might get an iolite. If they get a better design. Maybe about of a lightweight titanium. Bulletproof design after all the feed back from previous models. Vapeing while at concerts, movies, on the toilet ...etc.
