Vapirtoo.....unlike the 99.9% of people on here I thought the LB was not as good as what the others thought. The bong is just a small spice jar with a 4in plastic pipe out the top, and i got some medical oxygen tubing that fits perfect in the LB. Because the tubing and bong is small i can vary my intake just nice for the LB.
So yes hook a bong up, you wont regret it
I think maybe you hadn't mastered it yet if you were finding it harsh and were coughing from it. And the LB is known to be a little hotter when it's new. The Launch Box is a vape that you need practice with for optimal results.
Check the colour of your weed, and if any of it is going black then yeah, you're going too hot. You just have to draw on it a little harder, as the harder the draw, the greater the cooling effect. You have to find your zen with it.

hahahaha.....yeah i used it for 8 weeks and was trying different techniqes, fast, slow, re-read posts, to no avail either too harsh or too cool. Yeah i know what you mean but i got to no zen place. But with the bong....omg....you get better smoother hits.

vapedg13, with proper technique there is no burning. The Launch Box is not the only vaporizer that can burn the material if not used properly (Supreme Vaporizer is one I know of firsthand). If you have a new box, it may just be a matter of practice. Also, when my box was new it ran a bit hot, so I had to inhale faster to compensate. After repeated use it didn't heat as quickly, it ran more as described in the instructions.
But still, I burn a little sometimes when I'm not paying attention. This isn't a vaporizer that does all of the work for you.

Weird. Have you tried with a short stem, or no stem? I don't think they offer short stems anymore, except with the mini-whip. Longer stems can make it difficult to judge temperature. Also don't hit it for too long, as it will eventually get too hot.
Again, the colour of your herb will be the best indicator of how you're doing. I mean it's nice that you're getting good hits from it with a bong, but you're losing the stealth factor there. You can't pull that thing out in the middle of the city.

I got black pieces of herb the first day or 2. If you are getting black herb you are not flipping it or hitting it too long. I haven't had a black piece since then. This may not be the perfect vape for everyone but in my book, once the home power supply comes out, it will be damn close.

well still why dont u try inhalin before u put battery in see if that doesn't stop hi-temp black bits if still tu dark 4 u try increasin draw speed fast as u can if still black contact magic-flite

I'm not saying the LB is a faulty device, it's just that the producers don't seem to have properly addressed some important issues as it relates to combustion with their product. I mean afterall this IS supposed to be a vaporizer, right?

Does the battery get so hot it isn't comfortable to handle? How long does your battery last?
I just posted a day or two ago about getting distracted and leaving the battery in for at least three and probably more than four minutes. I got a black load but no combustion: no smoke and no burnt smell. If you "always get a popcorn taste and burnt weed" then something is wrong, as dozens (probably hundreds) of posters here can verify.

goofy8cheerio says, you should contact Magic-Flight. The LB is not supposed to perform like that and if it does that is a warranty issue.ETA: I just saw zoo's latest post. I am getting a strong odor of troll.

First, let me say that Vapeworld.com is awesome!!! I ordered my MFLB on Friday and it's already in my hands.
The batteries charged in less than 20 minutes and I was ready to fly.
This thing is TINY!!!! The pictures online don't do it justice. You can't NOT be efficient with it. It will only handle a small pinch. I loaded in about .025 and let er rip. Nice taste on the first hit. Still decent taste on the 2nd hit. At this point, I shook it up. The bud was already light brown. I got about another 4-5 hits out of it, shaking every time. I was sufficiently vaked. I probably burned it too much, there was some black, but I really tried to take it as far as I could just to kinda get a feel for it. First experience is definitely a good one. Got a nice, buzzy feeling, without too much retardation. I feel alert and ready to do shit. I could probably handle one more bowl, but this actually just perfect.

However you do need to learn how to use this vape a bit.. there is a technique.. its simple when you get the knack, but it does take a few goes to getr it right.
The joy of the LB ius that it can get to these burning temps. It means you can vape more of the canaboids than many other vapes.. but you do need to practice a bit first.
BTW dont leave it switched on for 2 mins! lOL
heres what it looked like after my 2-3rd draw from it .. ..battery was in for less than 10 secs each time ...started drawing on it when i saw the vape forming ...5-7 secs after battery made contact
