Man, rediscovering the wonders of the box. Wasnt getting the results I wanted and been using other vapes in my arsenal. But ever since getting the finishing grinder, the effects are just awesome. Made a world of difference imho. Was out last night in the city where ganja laws are way strict and I was puffing away in the middle of the crowds. None the wiser. So damn stealthy. I can't imagine how any vaporizer can beat it in that department. It requires a bit of user technique but this way you are in full control. Def similar to driving a manual vs automatic car. I'm always tempted to buy the latest and greatest vape but being a family man, the box suits me just fine. Can't have something I can't carry in my pocket. Got to keep that mind when I'm reading up on all the other threads round here:uhoh:. Big up the MFLB!

PA 2.0 users: do you leave it plugged in all the time?

Any reason not to? (would it wear out much quicker?)

Know it only takes seconds to get up to speed (reason to not leave plugged in)
and has the warrantee (reason to leave plugged in).

Appreciate any thoughts...

Yep, ya broke the code all right. Fine grind and well cured are keys to the castle for sure, add fresh batteries and you've got smooth sailing ahead.

Glad you came back to the humble box.....I bet you stick with it.

Thanks for the post.

I think it depends on how much you use it. I don't leave mine plugged in just because I don't use it that often, if I did I would without fear. Sometimes the 'wall wort' will run warm/hot at idle. Not good for it really or your electric bill.......

They sent me a beautiful box that works wonders. Anyone who can't manage to get greatly medicated with a few clouds off just a tiny pinch simply needs more practice. Its not an Air Or a DB by any means but for what it's meant to be....... its tremendous
I bet you can hone your skills and blow clouds nearly as big if not the same size :science::freak:

Well I can say just add my 2cent that this little contraption is the greatest invention ...and own a pax a vapor blunt 2.0 a plenty but my MFLB is my go to daily and I have my technique down packed ....and I'm a heavy user..I absolutly adore mine ...soon to get the finishing grinder...might I add I own a SUBLIMATOR also but I still daily drive the box.....

I think a lot of that drop off might be due to the battery being cold. Have you tried keeping it warm (say under your coat) until just before hitting it?

+1
the cold should only affect the battery to my knowledge.

Just got my MFLB about a week ago. I was combusting a little at first but with a better draw rate and fine grind I'm getting the hang of it and I love it. A genius piece of engineering imo.

I'm definitely looking to step it up with a PA and a finishing grinder asap.

Do you guys charge the batteries after each trench or can they last longer?

It depends on technique and load of course, but with practice I think most of us probably get like two trenches to a charge? You have to change technique some to keep performance more uniform, but it's part of the game I think.

But, I think starting out you should remove such variables. I suggest starting each session with a fresh load of the most uniform nature you can manage and a fresh battery. Even then you'll have to compensate some for the battery, but you will have more chance to work on other aspects. When you've got a handle on them, you can go back and play with how far you can ride the battery charge down.

Keep it well cured and fine ground, don't fill past the rails, and shake, shake, shake between hits.

BTW, every guy should have a backup vape. If only to ward off loss or failures at bad times. If you like the MFLB in concept and execution (and it sounds like you do) I suggest you consider Vapman or perhaps Vapor Genie for such. Both 'fun vapes' in their own right, flame powered, and under $100.

about 2ish trenches & **don't fill past the rails** is very good advice from OF...actually he's full of good advice.
Overfilling is a big mistake with the launch box...and is a common mistake.
Good call OF.
there should be a sticky that lays down a handful of basic techniques to get the most out of your LB. not filling past the rails should be one of them!

P.S.------ get the PA and finishing grinder........its well worth it if you ask me.

It seems i have seriously f'ed up.....

(Ps sorry mods, i tried to delete the first and edit but i couldn't figure it out on my device)

Completely unrelated; I've found that if you are stuck for a couple days with less than stellar herb there's a decent fix.
1. Grind bud
2. Empty grinder
3. Get better bud (kidding)
3. Grind again then empty.
4. Pinch clumps, use your screen in the 4 piece grinder as a "keif tray" if you're familiar
5. Sandwich all fallen crystals you scrape in better two VERY thin layers of bud.

It's been great to me tonight.
.....

Back to the f'd up. Do we have an mflb rep here?

I purchased 4 batteries from a reputable dealer (Vapor Nation), and was wondering how long does it take new batteries (new glyph types) to work great. My first go with new herbs hits great if I hold the battery in for 5 sec and inhale 15 sec. In order to get a decient hit after the initial use, I must hold the battery in 5-10 sec. and inhale some 20-30 sec. The box is new from MFLB and the batteries have been discharged then charged about 3 times each in a Lacross BC-700. Any suggestions or insights will help greatly. I don't want a PA, imo it defeates the purpose of the MFLB being almost undetectable and being portable. It is also to expensive to justify the price for me.

New glyph batteries work as soon as they've been charged up. They are pretty powerful and what you've described indicates to me that you're inhaling way too hard.

I try to inhale softly like I inhale with the solo. I'll be more cognative about my inhalation speed.
Thank for the feedback.

Remember to pay attention to the temperature of the stream actually coming out of the box too. If that isn’t right you have to adjust something else, timing of the heat cycle. speed of the draw, charge of the battery, the actual herb load, etc. Its all worth the effort.

UFO - Reviews?

Hi, I'm interested in the UFO. It looks like a cool device, has anyone heard any feedback on it?
Thanks.
