Im finding it incredibly frustrating that I keep having material go up into the cap. It's making a complete mess all over my desk and it's so damn annoying.

Any tips ?

I've put a small glass screen on top of the bowl and that seems to be doing the trick.

that's definitely true, but I dont want the sticky half vaped herb getting embedded in my carpet :\

*Okay so i've just put a coarser SS screen in there , fit the size of the bowl more and is easier to take out with tweezers and WOWZERS. This is definitely cruise control for beginner Lotus users. Taken away my worries from combusting quickly. I tend to heat to much and draw to slowly but this seems to let me give 'er, and I've got a clean cap :rockon:

It's more like my water pipe is pushing it up on its own , I even use a y-adapter as a carb and it isn't doing anything for me

Try putting a tiny wad of cotton in the Y-adapter under the lotus WPA. (Or better yet degummed hemp fiber if you have it). After several uses the resin buildup on the cotton will help slightly reduce airflow and encourage the claisen to work properly.

I agree, the Lotus is sensitive to ABV blowback. If you need some water filtration with your lotus, try using the Grav Labs J-hook and a pinch (25 mL) of water in the neck of the hook to act as a natural perc. It's actually one of my personal favorite ways to enjoy the Lotus (and there's no ABV blowback to worry about!)

I never get blowback with my favored ssv bubbler, but when I put the wpa on my magic flight orbiter it happens quite often. My solution is to not use the lotus wpa with the orbiter anymore :tup:

I find it easier to just pull up the lotus by the handle when there is blowback, which I personally don't find the Orbiter to possess much of......
little sunshine rip with the Orbiter, which I've found the perfect mouthpiece for in the Sheldon black sherlock....... I promise I didn't combust!:o:p

The Orbiter is definitely Not a chugger, the bubbler itself is quite free flowing, with a whip it's a bit more restricted. But I use it almost exclusively with the SB mouthpiece above. Everyone who has seen it is surprised that they're not made for each other!(the same for the orbiter+lotus pair).

....A bit pricey, but it brings out the best of the function and aesthetics of the Orbiter IMO, very comfortable to hit.

Made another little clip today.....got a nice cloud at the end.

I also do this, i pull off the cap to clear my bubler. It also helps if you pull your mouth off the mouthpiece slower, this helps keeping the water level from normalizing so fast and causing blowback.

I totally agree. there's just so much versatility with each vape, it makes me feel as though I have the best vaporizing experiences one can have between those two. From much vaping experience, I must say that bags/balloon vapes are not for me, although convenient, the effect was never what it should have been (both volcano and herbie). Does anyone else share the same opinion?

I think Bags from my HA can be pretty awesome(the highest I've been in years was after doing 3 thick HA bags in a half hour) but I find for me at least that I use what would be 3-4 days worth of herb with the Lotus or a log like the E-nano for each bag session like that ... so I don't do bags all that often.

The lotus with my orbiter does taste amazing and one bowl pretty much gets me where I wanna be for a while with very little herb.

I Just don't pull it out often enough, now I know what I'm playing with tonight.

I must say a full kief bowl with the lotus is enough to call it a night.

The vapor just keeps going and going and going and going and going and going... and going... and going.

I don't know why it took me so long to try that.
