They work with other stuff however I took this out and it worked better. What are you using the glass screen for?
Mine shipped out today, hope it arrives in the UK quickly. Can't wait to get back vaping after a 6 month hiatus.
Now to shop for some glass! Is it wise to buy overseas or is there a likelihood of breakage? As I said previously I have no idea about glass bongs, will the lotus wpa fit any down stem? In fact will it fit an acrylic bong since I have a few of those laying about the house anyway?
Do you live off the grid? The glass is usually packed enough it won't break. I've gotten many glass stuff overseas and it arrived safe.
The lotus wpa fits 14mm gong joints.
Do you live off the grid? You don't need to convince me ataxian, i'm already convinced.
I keep using the LOTUS however I keep having to finish with my SOLO.So… Welcome to the club old sport! I hope your vaping gets even more fun with the Lotus! If I had the budget and lifestyle I would collect vapes as well and wouldn't sell anything. Modern vapes are so fun! Most of them… For the time I have to constrict myself and own just a couple portables, luckily after 3 years I have settled to what I call the golden standards!
I keep using the LOTUS however I keep having to finish with my SOLO.
The SOLO at level 4 in my bubbler is very nice.
Maybe I don't have the technique down however I do not get as good of a result with the LOTUS as the SOLO? Is there some kind of training available?
I have a 5/8" flame.Show us a pic to see how you pack the load in the Lotus... Also check what size is your flame. It needs to be about 5/8''... The bright part of the flame...
I use between a 5/8"-3/4" flame, angle it slightly and point at the center of the plate with the tip and a little extra of the blue flame hitting it, wait until it glows red, start inhaling at this point, and to maintain the glowing red all you have to do is:I have a 5/8" flame.
I get the center glowing red.
How long should it be red?
It seems like the first rip was best?
The more I use it the less success I have? Kind of like driving a manual car after driving a automatic!
Now was that so hard to explain?I use between a 5/8"-3/4" flame, angle it slightly and point at the center of the plate with the tip and a little extra of the blue flame hitting it, wait until it glows red, start inhaling at this point, and to maintain the glowing red all you have to do is:
-if it's not red enough: slow down your inhale, and/or put flame a little bit closer to the plate
-if it's too red: inhale faster, and/or pull flame a bit away from the plate
with these techniques I am able to keep a steady read glow, and get thick milky hits. also, for packing: I go up to about half in the bowl (sometimes a bit more), and give it a very slight tamp down

Do you keep the center red while you inhale?Sometimes I can get the middle glowing red, but weak vapor. That's when I lower my draw speed and thick vapor will appear in a second.
So try a slower draw, really helps getting that thick hit for me. Don't slow it down too much, that could lead to combustion. Like if you stop your draw for a couple seconds, then inhale slowly, that's how I get combustion usually.
Yes I do.Do you keep the center red while you inhale?
You made it work!Yes I do.
I heat the plate for around 5 or 6 seconds, then inhale slowly while keeping the flame near the middle. The plate is usually nicely red, not too bright in the center though.
You made it work!
I got medicated however I need to practice a little more. I think I have
to work on the flavor profile?
I'm going to try a couple things tomorrow. Need to work on the favor part?Nice!
It sounds like you weren't pushing the Lotus hard enough. I always try to get combustion with manual temp control vapes when I first get them to see how far they will go. Then learn to dial it back. Just like a car, eh? Push it too hard and you burst into flames!
