About 3 weeks into it now. Using it at least once a day and usually more. For some reason it medicates me better with less material used than anything else in my collection of vaporizers, maybe because of the on demand mode being less wasteful by only delivering vapor when inhaling as opposed to smoldering away in a conduction oven, or perhaps the full heating spectrum going from 25 to around 400 degrees Celsius in just a few seconds makes the difference, maybe both, IDK ?
Method of enjoyment : I usually put about 1\3 of a bowlful in at a time, put in 1\3, hit it once (or twice on the first cold start or if it's not cooked enough after stirring), stir, put in another 1\3 on top of that, repeat, stir, fill up again (last 1/3) and finish it off. Works for me. I can usually pull off 2 or 3 bowlfuls like this in the time it takes my partner to do a 10 minute session on her Solo.
I never liked the idea of stirring between hits but on this vaporizer I WANT to see how much heat damage I did to the material inside after each hit and then I just happen to have the lid (slides off so easily) in my hand with the attached stir stick already to probe and poke the load a bit before adding a bit more plant matter to the bowl if needed.
Screen needs cleaning often, (every few days for me) but that's part of the price of stirring often and convection vapes in general I think. Good news is it takes less than a minute to get it out, burn it off, cool, brush and reinstall it.
So, loving it yes..... BUT the only downside to this story is the lighters. I have 3 now, none of which I'm totally happy with, I like using the little Honest that was included, the tiny flame is almost perfect but every time I fire it it refuses to shut off after letting go of the trigger. Unsafe, annoying and wasteful of fuel. The large one that I already had before buying my Lotus is OK turned down to minimum flame but is heavy, large and awkward. I bought a "Flamey" last week, it was kind of expensive and really nothing special, (needs to be reset with each use, hard to purge\fill, flame a bit "wide" if that makes sense, not a fine point). I suppose I'll keep searching for one that's the right fit. At least they're less expensive than vaporizers, lol.
Most likely going to order anther top and the 14mm adapter sometime in the next couple of weeks, I've never been much of a "glass" guy but I could see this vaporizer steering me into that direction. It would be nice to see the vapor forming visually after using the black aluminum stem exclusively.
Awesome device !
