From what i understand, there is no formal ETA. Though I'm hoping for this year. Last I heard, it would be a whole new cap. The stem and 14mm WPA would be the same, but you would need to purchase a new cap.
Furthermore you have to find a surface you can stir over without losing any material unless you restrict yourself to smaller bowls.
You won't regret it...it remains my favorite vape!Ended up ordering Lotus + j hook and wpa from ezvaporizers, and the metal stem, additional screens, and little leather heat cover from the manufacturer. Can't wait to get to testing.

First lotus hit and i lightly browned a good size load in one lung busting hit that left me coughing and hacking. I felt like i wasn't getting anything, and using the j hook i didn't see any vapor. o torched heavy, and next thing i knew my lungs were full and i was hacking. Must have neen the light. Ill tune it in eventually, but not what i expected of my first hit.
Back to testing
I dunno, my Lotus cap vapes the herb evenly. I have no problems toasting a small load (single scoop!) with one hit from the torch. It's a massive hit, but doable
Straight down, never angled, usually I start the torch close to the plate, and pull back as it starts to vape (this technique obviously works best with a j-hook or bubbler). I vary the distance between the flame and the plate to adjust the heat during the draw. All while keeping the torch moving in a constant circle ( I tried a figure 8 pattern for a while, but this produced an uneven browning of the load, so I switched back to a circular pattern). I always yell at my friends when I see them stop moving the torchDo you angle your torch? I think I get better results when I force myself to come at it straight from above. If I angle it, the side I angle towards seems to get a little more toasty.
My technique is similar to yours, but I sometimes just draw harder once good vaping is happening rather than move the torch further away. Either method works. But I do keep circling as you do.Straight down, never angled, usually I start the torch close to the plate, and pull back as it starts to vape (this technique obviously works best with a j-hook or bubbler).
