Today I received a Pipe X with the whole kit: the vape, the stash and the double flame lighter.
Unboxing review
In parts. The packaging is small, and I like it.
The packaging of the lighter is the largest, and it may be a little unnecessary but not too much either. It is well padded so that it does not take any blows.
The packaging of the Stash is very, very simple. It is, literally, a box of thin cardboard without more than the stash. The good thing is that it is a plastic stash (except for the vape compartment, which has a metal layer) so there was no danger of damage.
The packaging of the vape is the best, in my opinion. The vape is presented in a soft and very small but quality box. And inside it presents the minimum and fundamental: the vape, some orings, a couple of extra grids and a QR that takes you to the web, where you have the instructions for use and disassembly.
The lighter has a light weight without sacrificing aesthetic quality. It looks good quality and is in zippo format. It's thinner than a zip but taller. The flame adjustment is simple, accessible (you don't need a tool) and effective. The double flame is parallel. I like it a lot.
Later, when I have more experience, I will specify its functionality by comparing it to the double flame insert of zippo, since they have a similar operation.
I really like the concept of
the stash, it also looks resistant and packs everything very well. The grass compartment works quite well, although the vape compartment and the lighter is difficult to open at first. It has a very rough mechanism, which seems to become more manageable when using it (although I have to say that it is scary to break it because you have to work hard to open it). I will continue to comment after having used it for a while, so I will know its resistance and wear and tear with use.
Finally:
the pipe X. It's smaller than I thought. It has a good touch and is light. The first thing I did was to disassemble it to see the parts and clean it. Surprisingly, the vape has arrived very clean (other butane vapes that I have tried needed a good cleaning before using them), after cleaning it with iso I have seen how the cotton was still white. When disassembling it, you have to be careful with the screen, since you need the cleaning tool in the box and the screen can fly away. The wooden sleeve is 8mm (I have tried to put dynavap stems and they fit, but they are very long) and the wood has a good touch, although somewhat dry, so I have applied a little beeswax on it, making it softer and with better color. I will do tests (with their indications, experiments, other lighter and with the wand; with herb, hash and concentrates) but not right now since my throat is currently swollen due to an illness and I can't vaporize, but I will update the use of the device in action! For now, I enjoy using the mechanism to fill and empty the chamber, it's very comfortable!
